​All this sweet guy needed was the right family to walk through the door, see what an absolute star he is, and give him the chance he deserved. The best part? He didn't just get a home—he gained a new doggie sister who matches his high-play energy perfectly! 🐕💥🐕
​We couldn't be happier for Lemmy, and judging by that big, beautiful smile, Lemmy is beyond happy too.

We’re putting together a list of dedicated, long-term foster families who are willing to open their homes to small dogs in need.

We’re hoping to save more small dogs, but we can’t do it without committed fosters who can provide a safe, loving home until each dog finds their forever family.

Fostering is a wonderful way to save a life without making a permanent commitment to adoption. ❤️

​Come on down and meet Dutch! He just arrived at our shelter from the Ukiah Animal Shelter, and we are already completely head-over-heels in love with him.

Have you ever met a dog whose heart is just as big as he is? Meet Auto, a magnificent 3-year-old German Shepherd looking for his very, very lucky forever home right here at the Mendocino Coast Humane Society in Fort Bragg, CA.
​Let’s be completely honest about shelter life: it is loud, chaotic, and downright overwhelming for a sensitive, loyal soul like Auto. Because of this, Auto doesn’t always show his best side when he’s sitting inside his kennel. Please, please don't let his kennel demeanor fool you off the bat!
​Step outside the shelter gates with him, and the magic happens. Auto transforms into a complete, wiggly goofball whose absolute favorite thing in the world is simply being with his people.
​What Auto is Looking For:
​Room to Run: At a handsome 80 pounds, Auto is a big boy with a lot of love and energy to give. He would thrive in a home with plenty of space for him to stretch his legs and be the active adventurer he was born to be.

Meet Auto! 🐾 This sweet, loyal 80-pound German Shepherd is 3 years old and desperately needs his forever home. Shelter life is overwhelming for him, so he doesn't always show well in his kennel—please don't let that fool you! Outside, he's a goofy, loving companion who just wants to be with his people.
