Adopt a Trash Can Mendocino Anyone in the village of Mendocino that sees a need for a trash can may have me purchase one of their choice. This is a major issue that needs to be addressed.

Adopt A Trash Can is a way to actively decrease garbage overflow by helping relieve some of the burden on State Parks whilst simultaneously promoting your business! I will set it up for them so that they can attach a business logo or art of their choice to adorn the can. I will maintain the can for them once monthly for free. If they want me to maintain it more often they will either have to pay o

r work out some sort of a trade agreement with me or we can seek other volunteers for the cause. The patrons would be responsible for paying for bags for the cans. They would also be responsible for the cost of a chain and lock for the cans so that we can be sure they won't be moved from the chosen location. It would be advisable to install cameras in the vicinity if possible to stop the crimes of dumping household waste in public. Adopt a Trash Can is not intended to encourage people to dump illegally. It is intended to keep trash off the streets and to help relieve the already overburdened State Parks employees that are unable to keep up with the demand for waste management services in the village of Mendocino. We have the permission of Loren Rex(State Parks Superintendent) to install the cans as long as they are being properly maintained and are not resulting in illegal dumping of household waste. We are seeking volunteers for maintaining the trash cans and for adorning them with art as directed by the patrons of the cans.

Please use the trash cans in the bathrooms for your trash if at all possible. This can is for dog crap bags mostly so I do not want people throwing food in this can because it will attract critters that could dump the can and all it's stinky contents out! Also please be sure to always shut the lid completely otherwise rain gets in and the bag becomes very difficult to carry.
