Through our resource library, online community, and year-round events, we’re here to support rural veterans every step of the way.

We have so much work to do. So much. Our 2027 is centered on engagement and connection. Relationships matter.

Unfortunately we have to cancel our Georgia event on October 10 but safety of all attendees is top priority. You can’t really argue with NOAA, a Governor or a State of Emergency 🥴

We want to thank all who were ready to support this event and make it happen- especially VetClaims, Robert Irvine Foundation and Aetna/CVS Health

With Hurricane Isaias upgraded to a Category 3 and Governor Kemp declaring a state of emergency, we are cancelling tomorrow's Operation Honor: Rural Salute event and the Breaking Bread with Heroes breakfast at Georgia Military College. The safety of our veterans, families, partners, and volunteers comes first.

Please don't travel to Milledgeville tomorrow. Stay safe, check on your neighbors, and look out for the veterans and military families near you.

Bring the kids. Invite your neighbors. Come spend October 10 with Operation Honor: Rural Salute® at Georgia Military College.

We’re bringing veterans, military families, and the community together for music, kids’ activities, and a chance to meet the people behind resources you might need now or down the road.

You don’t have to be a veteran to join us. Everyone’s welcome, and admission is free!

A lil dressed up and a lot to bring home 🇺🇸

Last week, we headed to Tampa for the Military Influencer Conference, where our founder Michelle Lang was recognized as one of this year’s Mighty 25.

Our team got to spend a few days with people who care deeply about the same veterans and military families we do.

That matters when your work is reaching rural communities. Every relationship is a chance to find someone who can help, bring a resource closer to home, or make an introduction you couldn’t have made on your own. So grateful to have connected with friends old and new making it happen every day.

To the MIC team and everyone who made time to talk, share ideas and get to know OHRS: thank you. We’re glad to be doing this work alongside you.
