The Fort Bragg Sergeants Major Association attended and participated in the XVIII Airborne Corps and Fort Bragg - Basic Leadership Course (BLC) Class 005-23 graduation.

CSM(R) Michael Anderson, Association Adjutant, took part in recognizing the six honorees for BLC Class 005-23, held outside the NCO Academy, at Fort Bragg, N.C.

The Fort Bragg NCO Academy provides professional military education that develops enlisted leaders who are fit, disciplined, and well-educated professionals that return to their formations ready to lead from the front and meet the complex challenges of their Operating Environments.

Thank you to CSM Nathan Marshall (Guest Speaker), CSM, 37th Engineer Battalion, 82nd Airborne Division and Academy Commandant, CSM Mark Ring.

Congratulations to the graduates!

CSM(R) Albert Brunson didn’t tell anyone but his wife, Delphine, when he was diagnosed with prostate cancer in May 2009, or when his prostate was removed six months later.

This story will inspire you.

“I had my surgery in Chapel Hill,” Albert says. “I have a brother who lived just down the road in Durham. I didn’t tell him I was at Chapel Hill getting surgery.”

Why?

“I thought that it was shameful to allow people to know I had prostate cancer.”
🥺😢

Let’s normalize not being ashamed of our health.

This veteran didn’t want to talk about it until he realized he might save a life.
