Access Granted Youth Exploration (AGYE) offers free weekly classes on leadership skills and career exposure. After 4 months of classes, students attend an international service learning trip! These moments leave lasting impact!

T H A N K Y O U ! ! ! The students of AGYE26 are so grateful to the The Dantzler Family for being our luggage sponsor for the expedition to Belize. Also thank you to Tameca Wood for donating the book "There's Nothing I Can't Do!" to provide an encouraging word. She also donated books for the Community Library in Belize. Lastly, thank you to ABSOLUTE BUILDERS for the gift card donation to ensure each of the boys were ready for the trip. ❤️

Belize Day 4️⃣ - We were blessed to be welcomed into the family and learn about the Garfuna culture. At our end of the day reflection, many of our teens said they felt a connection during the drumming circle and that they were cooking with family in the kitchen. Our boys participated in every step of the cooking process of making hudut from picking, cracking, and shredding coconut, making coconut milk, and seasoning fish. 🐟

Day 3 in Belize - Today we traveled from Belize City to Hopkins. We started our morning with a nature walk and a hunt for howler monkeys at the Community Baboon Sanctuary Community Baboon Sanctuary. Then we made our way to Che'il to learn how to harvest and make chocolate like the ancient Mayans. Then the boys were challenged with grocery shopping for their meals for the next few days within their budget. (They were $15 over but they blamed it on the snacks they had to get for the students at the library. So we will count it as a win!🏆) Then we hung out on the beach where the boys climbed a tree for a coconut and found a way to break it open. They spent hours in the pool and then finally made dinner for the group. Menu: Beef Crunchwrap, Lime Chips, and Red Fanta
