Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) help people with disabilities live independently, stay connected to their communities, and live the lives they choose.

But right now, there aren’t enough DSPs to meet the need. With about 41% of DSPs leaving their jobs each year, it’s time to take action.

Congress can help by creating a federal Standard Occupational Classification for DSPs, giving policymakers the data needed to address wages, turnover, and staffing shortages.

📢 Take action and tell Congress to support the bipartisan Recognizing the Role of Direct Support Professionals Act.

📚 The YDLS Bookstore is Open! 📚

Stop by and browse our YDLS Bookstore! This project is made possible through 9/11 Day and AmeriCorps, with a goal of giving books a second home in our community.

All remaining books will be donated to local schools and our very own Little Free Library, which our YDLS students will help build!

There’s still time to donate your gently used books and help us grow this project!
