We want to give a huge thank you to our friend Griffin!!
Griffin had a lemonade & cotton candy stand with the Cub Scouts and decided to give half his proceeds to the animals at the Humane Society!

🌷 May was a month full of fresh starts and happy endings! These lucky cats all found their forever homes during the month of May, and we couldn't be more excited for them and their new families!

While these are the cats we managed to get photos of, several other cats found homes so quickly that they were adopted before we even had a chance to take their adoption pictures!

Thank you to everyone who chose adoption and gave one of our shelter cats a second chance at a loving home. ❤️

Did you adopt one of these cats or another shelter alumni? We'd love to see how they're doing—drop a picture in the comments and share an update with us!

Now that it's June, we're celebrating National Adopt a Cat Month! If you're thinking about adding a feline friend to your family, there's no better time to visit the shelter and meet the cats still waiting for their happily ever after. 🐾

We want to share a special update on Mr. Bartlett!

We knew when we took in beagles from Ridglan Farms that they would need a lot of time and patience to learn to be dogs. Our amazing team of staff and volunteers was up for that challenge.

Bartlett has been a slow bloomer. At around 7 years old, he spent a lot of years in a cage with such little interaction. He has come a long way! Because of the incredible team behind him, he’s now enjoying being pet, short walks, and attention from those he trusts.

We want to send a gigantic thank you to his foster dad, who is changing his life for the better. We truly cannot thank you enough! He welcomed this scared boy into his home and that has allowed Bartlett to start to become his best self. Check out these great pictures of him seeing what a home is for the first time, finally enjoying a walk, and meeting his new furry foster sibling.

We will be sharing an update on Clementine soon. Our application window for these beagles will be announced soon as well. If you think you have the patience and love that it will take for them to be their best doggy selves, watch for that window to open. Please note that only applications that come in during that time frame will be considered.
