South Baldwin Chamber Foundation Our primary benefactors are students of Foley High & Elberta High Schools, and their feeder schools.

Since 2003, the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation has made an impact on the communities of Foley, Lillian, Elberta, Magnolia Springs, Bon Secour, and Summerdale.

• Our mission is to enhance lives through programs and partnerships that enrich education, develop leadership, and better our community.

• Our goal is for all South Baldwin students to graduate and succeed. Contributions to the Chamber Foundation help promote a sense of community, develop a skilled workforce, and provide the type of student support needed for leadership development, as well as dropout prevention. Our goal is for all South Baldwin students to graduate and succeed. Students in our schools today are the workforce of tomorrow and the future leaders of our community. So when you support the efforts of the South Baldwin Chamber Foundation, you help lay the foundation for our future. This page is to share information about the Foundation (SBCF), its events, initiatives, partners, and supported schools. This is a moderated online social media site, not a public forum. What comes after high school? 🎓 Through Beyond the Tassel, we’re helping students explore career opportunities, connect with local professionals, and discover what’s possible for their future!

Students recently toured Ascend Performance Materials in Foley, where they got a firsthand look inside a local manufacturing facility and learned about the materials being produced right here in our community! 🏭

In partnership with our career coaches at Foley High and Elberta High School Warriors and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Central Gulf Coast we’re working to match students with mentors who can provide guidance, encouragement, and real-world insight.

⚠️ UPDATE from Baldwin County Public Schools Superintendent.

Stay safe & weather-aware as conditions develop.

Good afternoon parents,

We have been closely watching the activity in the Gulf, as I’m sure many of you have. I will say this storm has been a little unpredictable as weather can be.

We have made the decision to close school on Friday, October 9th. I wanted to get this to you as far in advance as I could because I know many of you have to make plans. We do not like to do this, because it affects so many, but we have to take all factors into consideration and of course, the most important, the safety of our students and our staff. Along with school being canceled, all afterschool and extracurricular activities scheduled for Friday and Saturday are also canceled.

Also, just as a reminder, students are on fall break through October 14th. They are expected to return to school on Thursday, October 15th. If for some reason those plans change, you will hear directly from us.

We have been through these before and we will get through this one as well. Please stay up to date with the forecasts as we go into Friday and we will be back in touch if updates are needed.

Well… we love golf, but not THIS much. 😂🌧️⛳️

Mother Nature has other plans! Due to the rainy weather and course conditions, the Golf FORE! Education Golf Tournament has been rescheduled for November 12. Same great tournament. Same great cause. Just hopefully a much drier day. 😉☀️

SECONDARY ACADEMIC UPDATE:-ACT:
Our district ACT Average Reading scores improved from 19.6 to 19.9 and set an all-time high for Reading benchmark %.

In addition, our district tied all-time high average scores for Math and Writing.
Foley High School improved ACT average scores in every area compared with 2025. The school set record-high averages in Composite, English, Math, and Reading and improved benchmark percentages in English, Math, Reading, Science, and Writing.

Elberta High School set record-high ACT averages in Composite, English, Math, and Reading while maintaining its record-high Science average. Benchmark percentages improved in English, Math, Reading, and Science.

Schools that improved ACT averages included BCVS in Reading and Science, DPH in Math and Reading, FHPH in Reading, RHS in Math and Writing, and SPFH in Reading and Writing.

Schools improving ACT benchmark percentages included BPA in Reading, DPH in Math and Reading, and FHPH in Reading.

A day full of learning, connection, and inspiration! 💙

Our Junior Ambassadors had the opportunity to go behind the scenes with Baldwin County 9-1-1 , Baldwin Health, and the Foley Fire Department to learn about careers in health and emergency services and, more importantly, what it means to serve. We’re grateful to the incredible professionals who welcomed our students, shared their stories, and reminded them that leadership isn’t just about a job title, it’s about how you choose to serve.
