Amy Gordon Brigham has proposed a group field trip to Jaemor for their adult night which benefits Parton’s Imagination Library. This would not be a silent reading event, but definitely a fun field trip to enjoy the friends we’ve made and support this amazing cause. Comment below if you are interested.

When we chose our 2026 corn maze theme, the thought was simple: everyone loves Dolly.

We were excited to celebrate the one and only Dolly Parton, and we were especially honored that this year’s maze would also connect us with Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. Her lifelong commitment to children and literacy made the partnership feel incredibly special.

We had planned to announce our corn maze theme today. Instead, we share it with very different hearts.

Dolly gave the world so much. Her music, her humor, her kindness, her generosity, and her incredible commitment to children and literacy have touched generations.

What was intended to be a celebration of an icon has now become a way for us to honor her legacy.

Our 2026 corn maze will proudly honor Dolly Parton.

What a sad day for so many who loved her. There truly was only one Dolly. ❤️

The Library is devastated to learn of the passing of Dolly Parton, not only a talented musician, but also a true titan of children's literacy. Her Imagination Library has received multiple Library of Congress Literacy Awards and, in 2018, Dolly visited us to donate the program’s 100 millionth book to our collection. She even hosted story time. 🦋❤️

We had such a great time last night at Pop's Estate & Marketplace with Silent Book Club gvl.

Today is our meeting at Pop's Estate & Marketplace. They have just offered us a special promotion! If you bring in a book to donate to their book wall, you will receive a $5 voucher for a food and beverage purchase.

So bring your chair, book, earplugs or earbuds, and a book to donate (if you like). It will be a great evening to meet the great people at Pop’s and The Silent Book Club gvl.

Come join us for our first joint meeting! Silent Book Club Flowery Branch and Silent Book Club GVL will be hosting an evening at Pop’s Estate and Marketplace on August 12 from 6 to 8 PM. Bring a chair, a book, and spend the evening in a brand new Flowery Branch establishment.

Pop’s Estate is located in the same building as McAvoy’s Cafe and Remedy Distillery. You can enter either at the end of the hallway, past the restrooms, or go through a separate entrance to the left side of the building.

The shop officially closes at 6 PM but you may browse before and after silent reading hour, which begins at 6:30 PM. It is a bit of a warehouse setting so they run large fans instead of air air-conditioning.

We had a wonderful time at Cloudland Vineyards + Winery celebrating our second anniversary. Thank you to the members who came out, Lori for the use of her table, Amy for the cupcakes, and for the care everyone put into the blind book exchange.
