GFWC Florence Woman's Club Historic women’s organization serving Florence, Arizona through community service, local scholarships, and preservation of our beloved clubhouse.

Founded in 1897. We are dedicated to improving local communities through volunteer service. GFWC Florence Woman's Club is a proud member of the General Federation of Women's Clubs. Honoring the motto of "Unity in Diversity," we come together as unique individuals dedicated to community improvement through programs in Arts & Culture, Civic Engagement & Outreach, Education & Libraries, Environment,

Health & Wellness. Our signature program focuses on Domestic & Sexual Violence Awareness and Prevention. Our mission is to enhance the lives of others in Florence, AZ and surrounding areas through volunteer service. Club Motto - "In Unity Lies Strength"

Today, the Florence Woman's Club is giving a friendly nod to the beards that have become symbols of style, personality, and tradition. Whether neatly trimmed, rugged and adventurous, or long and legendary, beards have a way of making a statement all their own!

We celebrate the men who proudly wear their beards and the confidence, character, and charm they often represent. Here's to the mustaches, goatees, and full beards that keep barbers busy and conversations interesting!

Welcome to the start of the 2026-2027 FWC year! September marks the beginning of an exciting year filled with friendship, community involvement, and meaningful accomplishments. Each week, we'll post an FWC calendar to keep you informed and connected with everything happening in your club. Looking forward to seeing you at our first meeting on Thursday, September 10th, starting at 5:30 pm.

Deadline to register for the GFWC-AZ State Board of
Directors meeting on 9/18 & 19/26 in Phoenix.

All members, guests, and visitors are welcome to join a few
FWC members for coffee and conversation.

All members are encouraged to volunteer!

Friday and Saturday. 9/18 & 19/26– GFWC-AZ Board of Directors meeting in Phoenix. All FWC members are welcome to attend. The registration deadline is 9/2/26.

Thursday, October 1 – Florence Woman’s Club 2026-2027 Dues Deadline. As per FWC Bylaws, members not renewing their membership dues by October 1, 2026 will be removed from the roster. Reply to this email if you need more information to pay your dues.

Tuesday, October 6 – FWC Hunt Highway Clean-up
Join Chairperson Karen Parks and other FWC members for
the semi-annual Hunt Highway Clean-up, then breakfast.

Today, the Florence Woman's Club is celebrating our loyal, loving, and tail-wagging companions who bring so much joy to our lives. From playful puppies to wise senior dogs, these furry friends remind us every day of the power of unconditional love, friendship, and companionship.

Whether your dog is a hiking buddy, a couch companion, or the official greeter at your front door, today is the perfect day to give them a little extra love. Share a favorite photo of your pup in the comments and tell us what makes them so special!

BREAKING NEWS: Local women discover a way to have fun, make friends, help the community, and drink coffee all at the same time.

If you're new to the area, need a change of scenery, or simply want to spend time with people who don't leave dirty dishes in your sink, join us!

Coffee gathering: Every Wednesday at 9:00 a.m.
First club meeting: Thursday, September 10, at 5:30 p.m.
