FCCC meets the urgent needs of children placed into foster care, often with no personal belongings and very little other than the clothes on their backs.

Our space exists to serve foster children with dignity, care, and consistency. Every part of it is made possible by the generosity of our community.

Each gift toward our Building Hope fund helps reduce our mortgage so more resources can go directly to the kids and families we serve!

Last week, we had the privilege of helping a set of siblings shop our clothing closet and pick out items they needed. Moments like these remind us why we do what we do.

We always look forward to our time with Nucor, who are volunteering each month in the second quarter with the Foster Care Clothing Closet. We had the privilege of attending an Education and Foster Care Coalition meeting in Columbia Children’s Law Center!

We were joined by both Representatives and Senators and other agencies championing for the foster children in our state! These children are the most vulnerable but with the support of a community that cares, they have promising futures. The proposed bill will expand education opportunities for children that have been in the foster care system.

Among those that joined were Senators Reichenbach and Zelle, as well as Representative Schuessler.

A huge thank you to the residents and staff at Bethea Retirement Community for hosting a donation drive to help stock the Foster Care Clothing Closet with some of our most needed items 💛
