Volunteer Guardianship One-on-One, Inc. allows every person to have a qualified, compasionate decision maker when faced with dementia and Alzheimer's.

The purpose of our organization is provide high quality guardianship services to adult individuals, typically the elderly suffering from a disability or physical and mental disease, who have no family members or friends to serve in that capacity. We carry out our purpose by recruiting, educating and supporting caring volunteers who wish to assume this important responsibility on behalf of a fellow citizen in need. The mission of our organization is to match our caring volunteers with those in need in order to form a special partnership intended to improve and enhance the lives of both partners. Without our organization, many incapacitated adults (perhaps the most vulnerable members of our society) would have no voice and no advocate. We give a voice to the voiceless and we bring dignity and hope to the lives of those lying in the shadows of our society.

🐴 Hold your horses—take a look at this beautiful featured auction item!

“Gray Mares,” an original watercolor by Connecticut artist Susan Dorazio, will be available for bidding at the Annual Harrie Copeland Barn Dance. Professionally framed and with an estimated gallery replacement value of $3,000, this striking piece captures the strength, grace, and companionship of two remarkable horses.

The painting comes from the Kellogg family’s private collection and has been donated in memory of the kindness, compassion, and service that inspired this special gift.

Join us for a fun evening of BBQ, dancing, prizes, and spirited bidding—and you may just take this beautiful original watercolor home with you! Best of all, every bid supports Volunteer Guardianship One on One and its work on behalf of vulnerable adults who have no family or trusted advocate available to stand beside them.
