Supports offered are geared toward moving families from simply surviving to thriving. Clara's Hope is a non-profit organization serving Genesee and Livingston counties. We work to fill in the gap between agencies and families by providing accessibility to supports and resources. We utilize volunteers to provide meals, housecleaning, small home repairs, and childcare for foster families. Our full t

ime social worker helps parents navigate court, explain paperwork and provide individual support to families through the ups & downs of foster care and adoption. One of our main focuses is providing trauma training to individuals, churches, and schools and working to connect the community to the needs of foster and adoptive families so they aren't walking through this alone.

2 weeks ago, Clara's Hope received a generous donation of pullups and youth diapers for a very specific need from Garden City Public Schools and the Burger Baylor School for Autism.
Tami was able to get those cases out to families the same week as well as deliver some of our Family Care Baskets and some summer goodies to a few of our families.
This is one way your donations are utilized, supporting families exactly how they need support! Sometimes it is youth size diapers and sometimes it is a craft kit and sidewalk chalk!

Thank you Isla for your generosity!
Isla decided to have a lemonade stand and gift the proceeds to Clara's Hope. She raised $28 on total. She delivered the donation and received a tour of the family center from Mark. This donation will be used to provide prizes for our Family Summer Bash in August.

Summer Clothing needs!!!
We have 12 families in need of specific clothing items.
Please take a look and see if you can help fill these needs. Please let us know in the comments or via message what you can share with these families. Gently Used or new items please.
Clothing/shoes can be dropped off or shipped to the Clara's Hope Family Center by next Friday, June 19, so we can distribute them to the families ASAP. Please drop them off in our breezeway and label what family # it is for.

Who do you know that is looking for some part-time work this summer that would love to invest in a couple local boys?
This is a paid position we are attempting to help one of the families we serve fill.
If you are interested, please send us a message with your name, number and email and we will send it to the family to follow up.
This could be a great fit for a college student home for the summer!

Join us on Thursday, August 6, 2026 for an evening filled with fun, connection, food, activities, and encouragement for local foster and adoptive families.
This event is designed to create a space where families feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated.
There are several ways YOU can be part of making this event possible:
