Supports offered are geared toward moving families from simply surviving to thriving. Clara's Hope is a non-profit organization serving Genesee and Livingston counties. We work to fill in the gap between agencies and families by providing accessibility to supports and resources. We utilize volunteers to provide meals, housecleaning, small home repairs, and childcare for foster families. Our full t

ime social worker helps parents navigate court, explain paperwork and provide individual support to families through the ups & downs of foster care and adoption. One of our main focuses is providing trauma training to individuals, churches, and schools and working to connect the community to the needs of foster and adoptive families so they aren't walking through this alone.

Thank you to the Linden United Methodist Church for hosting a diaper drive for Clara's Hope! Items like these help local foster and adoptive families have success and takes a bit of the heavy load off of their shoulder for a bit.

The church collected diapers and pull ups and delivered them to our office in August! That was fantastic!

A sincere thank you to the amazing hairstylists and barbers for donating their time and immense talent at our Summer Family Bash. They cut hair for hours and kids walked away feeling great! Some of the kiddos had never had a professional haricut before.
This was an amazing addition to the Summer Bash and we all agree we want to do it again.

Clara's Hope is in need of freezer meals for the families we serve!
These are a HUGE blessing, especially on days where there are multiple appointments, family visits and court.
Knowing a meal can be popped into the oven and is DONE helps a family be seen and encouraged to go another day.

This is more than just a meal- it is a way to support a family doing the important and hard daily work of parenting kiddos with hard pasts. Adoption and Foster care bring unique challenges-you can help us relieve some of the burden by providing a freezer meal!

Consider gathering some friends or coworkers and making up several meals together.

Here are the details:
Make meals for about 4-6 people (at least two of each kind so we can give 2 to larger families)

Double freezer bag them or be sure they are in disposable non-leaking dishes.

Please bring to Clara’s Hope Family center already frozen.

Include instructions of cooking/serving, ingredients (or a copy of the recipe) and anything that goes with serving them (buns, tortillas, chips, etc).

Meals can be dropped off at the Family Center Monday through Thursday 8am-4pm.

Clara's Hope has over 30 wristbands for the Charity preview night- Wednesday September 2,2026 5-9pm
Free Entry, Rides, Parking and Shows at the Michigan State Fair.
It is a fun night.
We have already dispersed tickets to the families we serve and would like these tickets to be used by any other local adaptive or Foster families, are volunteers and our donors please.
Contact us either here or email. [email protected] nd let him know how many tickets you would like for the event. Pick up at the Clara's Hope Family Center.
We would like all of these to be utilized so please don't hesitate if you can make it and that sounds fun to you, reach out. We would love to gift the tickets to you

A local Foster family is looking for baseball or t-ball equipment to be able to build joy and have family activities in their yard. They have two teenagers and two toddlers. Do you have any baseball or softball equipment (gloves, balls, tee, bats) they might be able to put to use to play together?

THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts."
This is EXACTLY what we hoped to achieve with the Bash, an opportunity to connect with others on the same journey and for joy building.
I'd say we Knocked It Out of the Park!!!!

Last Thursday Clara's Hope hosted our Summer Family Bash and it was the best one yet! We had 38 families attend. 54 parents, 127 kiddos, 33 volunteers and 8 vendors.
Fenton Robotics demonstrated their fabulous robot. 5 local hair stylists/barbers donated their skills to give lots of haircuts to the kiddos. PARC, Embers/Peckham and Early On shared great resources for families.
Families enjoyed food, free choice shoppping for school supplies, clothing and more. Joy was built with face painting, rock painting, inflatables, prizes, popsicles and more.

Our favorite part was watching parents be able to sit, chat with each other while the kids played and enjoyed the event with our amazing volunteers.
