For many seniors living on a fixed income, every dollar has a job.

When the cost of prescriptions goes up, some are forced to make an impossible choice: fill the medication they need or buy groceries for the week.

No one should have to decide between their health and their next meal.

At Center of Hope, we're here to help ease that burden. Through our Free Choice Market, seniors can receive groceries at no cost, allowing limited income to stretch a little further and helping ensure that essential medications don't have to be sacrificed to put food on the table.

If you or someone you know is struggling to make ends meet, call us at 810-620-8167 or visit www.fentoncenterofhope.org. Help is available.

Summer is a season of community. Neighbors gather, kids are out of school, and families spend more time together. It's also a time when many local families face challenges that don't take a vacation.

At Center of Hope, we provide practical support through our Free Choice Market food pantry, Parenting Program and Baby Closet, support groups, classes, community events, and emergency resources. Every day, we're helping families right here in our community find stability, encouragement, and hope.

A monthly gift of $100 makes a meaningful difference. It helps keep food on our shelves, programs available, and support accessible to the individuals and families who count on us.

If you've been looking for a way to make a local impact this summer, we'd love to talk with you. Stop by or give us a call at 810-620-8167 to learn more about how you can help strengthen families and build a stronger community.

Helping someone is about more than filling a bag with food or placing diapers into waiting hands.

It is the quiet act of standing beside a person when the road has become difficult. It is offering a listening ear when the world has rushed past without seeing them. It is speaking worth into a life that hardship has tried to diminish.

Because every person carries a story. Every person deserves to be seen. And sometimes the greatest gift we offer is not what we give, but the reminder that they still matter, they still belong, and they are not walking alone.

Why We Call It the Free Choice Market

At Center of Hope, our pantry isn’t just shelves of food, it’s a place of dignity and respect.

That’s why we call it the Free Choice Market. Families don’t receive a pre-packed box. Instead, they choose the groceries that best fit their needs, just like at a regular store.

- Parents can pick the foods their kids will actually eat.
- People with health concerns can select items that meet their dietary needs.
- Everyone has the dignity of making choices for themselves.

It’s about more than food, it’s about restoring independence, confidence, and hope.

Thank you to the volunteers and donors who make the Free Choice Market possible for over 100 families each week.

Every day, families walk through our doors looking for help, and every day, your generosity makes it possible for us to meet those needs.

- A donation means food on the table.
- It means diapers and formula for a new mom.
- It means safe housing for women and children in crisis.

When you give, you’re not just donating, you’re changing lives.

There are days when life feels heavy. Days when you wonder if anyone notices, if your efforts matter, or if your mistakes have somehow defined you.

But God's Word tells a different story:

"For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." – Romans 8:38–39

No failure is too great. No struggle is too deep. No fear is too strong.

God's love is not based on your performance. It doesn't disappear when you stumble, and it doesn't weaken when life gets hard. His love remains constant, faithful, and secure.

Today, remember this: you are seen, you are valued, and you are deeply loved by the One who created you.

A bag of groceries matters.
A pack of diapers matters.

But sometimes the most important thing we can offer is a relationship.

At Center of Hope, we don't just meet immediate needs. We connect people to mentors, classes, support groups, resources, and a community that cares.

Because hope grows when people know they don't have to face life alone.
