At Throwing 2 Honor, we don’t just randomly send out donations. Every monthly donation is selected with purpose. We take time to learn about the organization, understand the impact they are making, and make sure their mission aligns with what Throwing 2 Honor stands for.

This month’s donation is one of the most personal and powerful ones we’ve ever made.

Today, Throwing 2 Honor is honored to announce our August 2026 Monthly Donation Recipient:

The Road Home Program

This month, we made a $500 donation in honor of Joe, whose story reminded us exactly why this mission matters.

Several months ago at Great Shots Backyard Bar and Games, someone noticed a Throwing 2 Honor jersey and asked what it represented. They were pointed in our direction, and that’s when we met Joe.

As we talked, Joe shared something we will never forget. He told us how the Road Home Program at Rush helped him through one of the darkest times in his life.

In Joe’s words:

“I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them. They saved my life.”

And later, Joe shared something even more powerful:

“This is truly going to save someone’s life the same way it did for me.”

The Road Home Program provides life-changing mental health care for veterans, service members, and their families — at no cost to those who need it. Their mission to heal the invisible wounds of military service aligns perfectly with one of our core values:

Supporting those fighting silent battles.

This donation marks 11 consecutive months of Throwing 2 Honor making monthly donations to organizations that align with our mission.

We are seeking gift basket donations, gift cards, merchandise, services, and other raffle items to help support our Throwing 2 Honor - 9/11 THROW 4 THE RED Charity Fundraiser co****le event on September 11, 2026, at Great Shots Backyard Bar and Games.

Proceeds from this special 9/11 event will be split between 2 incredible organizations — Tunnel to Towers Foundation and Neighbors United supporting 9/11 heroes, first responders, military families, and firefighters battling cancer.

Completed gift baskets are greatly appreciated, but we also welcome gift cards, merchandise, themed items, services, experiences, or anything that could help us create a great basket. Every donation, large or small, helps us raise more money and make a greater impact.

🇺🇸 Sometimes a simple conversation can change everything.

A few weeks ago at Great Shots Backyard Bar and Games, someone noticed a Throwing 2 Honor jersey that another person was wearing and asked what it represented.

As fate would have it, we happened to be there, and they were pointed in our direction.

What started as a conversation about our mission quickly became something much more meaningful.

A military veteran thanked us for what Throwing 2 Honor stands for. Then he shared a deeply personal story that has stayed with us ever since.

He told us there was an organization that, in his own words, saved his life.

Then he said something we’ll never forget:

“I wouldn’t be here today if it wasn’t for them.”

There are moments that remind you why you started.

For us, this was one of them.

At Throwing 2 Honor, our mission has always been to remember that freedom isn’t free, honor those who have served and continue to serve, and support those fighting silent battles.

Hearing firsthand how one organization helped save the life of a fellow veteran made our next monthly donation decision incredibly easy.

Sometimes our jerseys do more than represent a mission.

They start conversations.

They build connections.

And every once in a while, they lead us to a story that changes everything.

We’re honored to introduce our August monthly donation recipient next week and we can’t wait to share why this organization means so much to us.

25 years ago on September 11, 2001, America witnessed unimaginable loss, but also unforgettable courage.

343 firefighters answered the call and never came home.

On Friday, September 11, 2026, Great Shots Backyard Bar and Games and Throwing 2 Honor will come together for something truly meaningful.

A charity co****le event dedicated to remembrance, honor, and support.

This special event will benefit 2 incredible causes:

🚒 Neighbors United
Supporting firefighters battling cancer

🇺🇸 Tunnel to Towers Foundation
