About OORC

The Ozark Off Road Cyclists is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating and maintaining sustainable soft surface trails in the Arkansas Ozarks, giving greater opportunities for mountain bikers and outdoor enthusiasts to live healthy active lives. Established in 1997, the OORC has been working with local, state, and federal agencies to preserve the natural environment fo

r recreational experience. The OORC regularly partners with a variety of user groups, land managers, and businesses to support and run numerous outdoor recreation events including educational training in sustainable trail building, group rides, races, and trail work days. The Club is a proud Chapter Member of IMBA (The International Mountain Bike Association).

Friday Afternoon 3pm: check in, parking and camp setup begins. Please don’t show up before this time.
Friday Evening 6:30 :
We’ll be serving chili, with a veggie only batch too. All compliments of our friends at Phat Tire Bike Shop - Arkansas.
7:30 A few announcements followed by live music.

Saturday Registration 7:30 am.
Saturday Breakfast 7am:
9:15 Mandatory rider meeting at the outdoor stage.
9:30 Challenge ride begins.
Saturday Lunch... it’s a party in the woods:
At the Fire Tower riders and runners will be greeted with the legendary grilled cheese and hot tomato soup we’ve all come to cherish!
3:30 PM: After ride yoga. Bring your own mat.
Saturday Dinner around 6.
7:00 News and Volunteer awards.
7:30 Live Music.

Sunday Breakfast 7am:
9am: gravel ride led by Ozark Gravel Cyclists.
Basic coffee available all weekend long.
Brews available all weekend long .
A weekend of backcountry riding awaits!

The OORC tuneup crew kicked off our annual visits to all of the Fayetteville public schools today. Many more visits to come but the first two are complete. Big week ahead! Tuesday night rides is at Kessler (Parkside). We need traffic (and rain) on the newly opened Saddle Up. Also on Tuesday, registration price for beastofburden24 increases so get in there and save a few bucks. Friday, registration opens for the 22nd Annual Buffalo Headwaters Challenge. We will have members out w**d whipping all week in many spots for the last time this season. Yay!!! More soon……have a great week, be kind to each other and do some good! 🙌🙌

We are out early for today’s workday at Kessler. Justin will be down in the parking lot at 8 to greet volunteers. On another note the closed signs do in fact mean a trail is closed. We appreciate the patience of 99% of you. Hope to see some of you out today.

SU update: we are looking at mid September on reopening. Thanks for your patience. OORC has brought Alt-Terra-Chris Crone in for some tasty berms here and there to go along with some sweet volunteer handcut OORC style. We think you’re going to love it. Hang tight.
