Cover crops are one of the most powerful tools we can use to build healthier soil, manage weeds, disrupt pests, and protect our fields.

Join us at the Farm on Saturday, September 12 for Undercover Cropping, a hands-on mini-conference led by Ian Zeglin of Greenacres Foundation.

Ian will share practical, field-tested strategies for using cover crops effectively, with plenty of opportunity to get out in the field and learn.

Still thinking about our Summer Social!☀️

Thanks to everyone who came out to spend the afternoon with us! We had so much fun with Farm Olympics, local vendors, sharing ice cream, and just getting to hang out together on the farm! Special thanks to all the volunteers that make these events possible.

We’re so grateful for everyone who continues to show up for New Roots. We’re excited about what’s ahead and all the ways we can keep creating space for our community to gather.

Tomorrow’s the day! Join us for the New Roots Summer Social on Saturday from 12–4 PM for an afternoon at the farm.

We’ll have local vendors, food and drinks, Farm Olympics, you-pick flowers, activities for kids, and plenty of space to relax and enjoy the day with friends and family.

One quick heads up: our market will be closed on Sunday so our staff and volunteers can recover after the event. Stop by tomorrow instead! We can’t wait to see you at the farm!

It’s almost time! Join us this Saturday for the New Roots Summer Social.
Take a look at the schedule and vendor lineup so you can plan your day. Stop by for local food and drinks, shop from local vendors, cheer on (or join!) the Farm Olympics, listen to live music, pick your own flowers, and spend some time at the farm.

Today’s the perfect day to spend an afternoon at the farm.

Join us from 1:00–6:30 PM as Cherry River Coffee Roasters and Crabtree Bread pop up under the pavilion with fresh baked goods, coffee, lemonade, and refreshing spritzes. Grab a drink, enjoy a treat, wander through our You-Pick flower field, or simply bring a friend and relax at the farm.

Even better, 10% of all Cherry River Coffee Roasters sales today will be donated to New Roots Community Farm’s Food & Ag Center fundraiser, helping us create more space for food, farming, and community.

We can’t wait to see you this afternoon!
