🤝 Sometimes the most important marketing work happens before anyone creates a social post or launches a campaign.

This week’s 🌟SPONSOR OF THE WEEK🌟, Letterpress Communications, helps organizations come together around shared goals through thoughtful facilitation and collaborative strategy.

That recently included partnering with the Longwood University Office of Community and Economic Development for a facilitated discussion focused on what’s next for programs like the Longwood SBDC and the SEED Innovation Hub.

Through guided conversations, workshops and strategic planning sessions, the Letterpress team helps organizations align ideas, uncover opportunities and build momentum together.

Take a look behind the scenes at what that process looks like in action. 👀

Have you attended a workshop, strategy session or event led by the Letterpress team? What’s one thing you learned?

Community-powered marketing can look a little different from day to day.

One day, Letterpress Communications might be helping a nonprofit clarify its message. Another day might involve supporting tourism storytelling, filming content downtown, or showing up for local workshops and community events.

For the Letterpress team, no two projects look exactly the same because no two communities are exactly the same.

Founded in Farmville 11 years ago, this small, woman-owned business partners with organizations across the region through collaboration, creativity, and locally rooted storytelling designed to reflect the people behind the work. 🤝

What does “community-powered marketing” actually mean?

This week’s 🌟🌟SPONSOR OF THE WEEK🌟🌟, Letterpress Communications, believes strong marketing starts by understanding the people behind a community — not just promoting to them.

That means collaborating with teams, gathering local insight, highlighting authentic stories and building strategies that support long-term growth.

Rooted right here in Farmville, Letterpress partners with nonprofits, higher education institutions, tourism organizations and small towns across the region to create marketing that reflects the communities they serve.

Ground Has Officially Been Broken!

This week marked an exciting milestone for the Southside Virginia Family YMCA as community leaders, donors, board members, staff, and partners gathered to celebrate the groundbreaking of our new pickleball courts.

This project is made possible through the generosity and partnership of the Dominion Energy Foundation, Vannoy Construction, and Trey and Kristin Gee's Foundation. Their support is helping create a new recreational space that will serve individuals and families throughout our community for years to come.

Construction is starting, and weather permitting, the courts are expected to be completed in about six weeks. The project includes two dedicated pickleball courts while preserving access to the existing basketball court.

As pickleball continues to grow in popularity, these new courts will provide opportunities for people of all ages to improve their health, build connections, and enjoy friendly competition. We also look forward to offering future instruction, programming, and organized play opportunities.
