Foster Parents can be unprepared for a newly placed child in terms of having the right size or quantity of clothing and equipment required for a particular child. Often children arrive in their new foster home with only the clothes on their back. This frequently places a financial hardship on the Foster Family to provide for the immediate clothing needs of children.

We’re kicking off our Socktober Sock Drive, and we would LOVE to have our community join in!

Socks are one of those basic necessities that our kids need every single day—and with colder weather coming, we want to make sure we have plenty of NEW socks ready to keep those little (and not-so-little!) feet warm. ❤️

Anyone can host a Socktober collection for Oakland County Foster Closet! Make it a competition, challenge another department or classroom, or simply put out a collection box and see how many pairs you can gather!
