Hey thereā€¦ my name is Hunk. And yes, before you askā€¦ I absolutely live up to the name.

Iā€™m a ridiculously handsome long-haired black cat with movie star looks, a sweet personality, and enough charm to make people stop in their tracks. But I wasnā€™t always this confident.

Before coming to Furball Farm, I was feral and very afraid of people. Trust didnā€™t happen overnight. It took a whole lot of time, patience, loveā€¦ and food (especially food) for me to realize humans arenā€™t so bad after all. Because of that, my future family needs to understand that I may need some time to settle in and feel safe in a new home. But I promiseā€¦ I am worth the wait.

At first, I can be a little shy and keep to myself. Then seemingly out of nowhereā€¦ something clicks and suddenly Iā€™m following you around meowing and rubbing all over your legs asking for attention. I love saying hello and reminding people that Iā€™m available for affection. Fair warning thoughā€¦ I may not be the best choice if youā€™re a fall risk because I take my leg-rubbing job very seriously.

My favorite way to hang out? Sit on the floor with me. I love walking up to people and saying hi on my own terms. Iā€™m not much of a lap cat and being held isnā€™t really my thing right nowā€¦ but who knows what time may bring.

Want to win me over instantly? Lickable treats. Those things are basically my love language.

When Iā€™m not collecting pets, you can usually find me basking in the sunshine on the playground, snuggling with my feline friends, or doing what I like to call snuggle walking with other cats. Because of that, I would do best in a home with other feline companions. They help me feel comfortable and confident.

Ohā€¦ and one more thingā€¦ I have no teeth. But donā€™t feel bad for me. It certainly doesnā€™t stop me from enjoying treats.

If youā€™re looking for a cat that blossoms with patience, loves deeply once he trusts you, and just so happens to be incredibly hunkyā€¦ I might be your guy.

Come meet me daily from 1ā€“5 PM. Iā€™ll be waitingā€¦ probably in the sun.

My new perfect family NEEDS to understand that it WILL take me a while to adjust at first and I WILL hide as I settle in. Give me time, patience, and use food as a tool to get me out of my shell ā€” I really am a wonderful cat.

I am fully vetted: neutered, microchipped, FIV & FeLV negative, treated for fleas/ticks/and intestinal parasites, and up-to-date on all my vaccinations: distemper, rabies, and FeLV. I require an indoor-only home and, as with all cats ā€” absolutely no declawing.
