A quick introduction to Tiny Whiskers Animal Rescue for anyone new here or wanting a refresher.

We are primarily a rodent rescue, but we also take ferrets. We do not take any other non rodents. We have occasionally taken in species outside our scope in extreme/rare circumstances but this is on a very case-by-case basis and 99% of the time all we can do is refer elsewhere.

We are currently looking to add more GUINEA PIG foster homes to our crew and looking for ONE more chinchilla foster home that can foster a trio of chinchillas. We do pay for all expenses related to fostering. Please email Aster at [email protected] to start your application!

Dio & Jojo had their well check yesterday and are ready to go HOME with a very lucky someone! These boys are so cute. Dio has a benign cyst on his back but it is not bothering him and our vet recommends just monitoring. These boys are ready to be your new best friends.

MILD and MELLOW are both young male mice born 07/14/2026 and transferred to us from our friends at Coulee Region Humane Society in the hopes of giving them a better chance at finding homes. Coulee also has their siblings so definitely check out their available mice, we’d love for the whole family to find homes!

SWEETMEAT (formerly Butters, but we’ve had a lot of animals with that name!) is a 6 year old male guinea pig who came to us due to his owner being unable to continue caring for him. Sweetmeat is pending with one of our fosters already assuming he gets along with their senior male.

These are the longest-stay animals at Tiny Whiskers of each species. Please consider opening your heart and home to one of these amazing critters or groups of critter.

Dean & Eugene have been waiting since April 2026. They are our longest stay critters currently across all species.
Cheerio has been waiting since June 2026. All his siblings have found homes except him.
Chester has been waiting since July 2026. He is a senior.
Plato, Aristotle, & Socrates have been waiting since August 2026 and sadly interested people keep deciding three chinchillas is too many so they keep getting passed over.
Siggy has been waiting since August 2026 and needs a home with other rats.

SIGGY is doing so well in foster care but he would love a forever family with other rats to play with. We think he would do best in a larger mischief of at least 3 other rats as he can be a bit overbearing

Siggy is doing well, he is learning to come out during playtime to get food. He is still a little skittish but is learning. He has mistaked our fingers for food a couple of times but we open the door to hand him food/treats so it’s rare that he gets us. He definitely loves to nest and take tp from the roll and bring it everywhere in the cage.

HUEY is a 2.5 year old male shorthair piggy looking for a new buddy. He’s a sweet dude and would make a great companion. We do offer bonding sessions to ensure a good fit with your existing pig before adoption!

PIERRE is a 1 year old neutered male abyssinian. He has some aggression towards pigs and people that we will need to work on before adoption, but we are hoping we can convince him to be nice!

Both are seeing our vet on Monday and then HUEY will be ready for adoption. Pierre needs more time to work with his behavioral issues first.
