The Tell - Fargo

The Tell - Fargo Community through unscripted storytelling: no notes, no props, no kiddin'. Welcome to The Tell. Seven names are drawn for the night to be Tellers. Maybe food.

Once a month, join us for a night unlike any other with organic, homegrown, locally (and sometimes imported!) storytelling and live music.

$15 at the door, everyone welcome. Your host will greet and guide you through an event unlike any other in the area...part campfire singalong minus the campfire, part truth or dare, and a little bit of raw, unbridled terror.... Those wishing to Tell of a true

, first-hand experience fitting with the night's theme literally throw their name in the hat. Ready or not, up to the mic you go! Through the night the audience is encouraged to take notes, discuss between tellers, and finally decide which story resonated with them the most that evening by voting for their favorite. At the end of the event the ballots are collected and counted with the winner of the evening announced. The event winners go to the season Tell Off where they will compete for the bragging rights of Season Winner and potentially money. Or a bucket of doorknobs. Who knows, we work with what we have. What happens at The Tell stays at The Tell so you gotta be there to be in the know...and we can promise you...you'll be back.

Just one week until we start our new season, and we are excited to introduce a new musical guest! Jarrod Danuser is a local musician in Fargo who is strongly influenced by artists like Keane, Oasis, and David Gray, and he loves to spin his song selections to weave set lists that audiences can feel emotionally connected with. He’s started expanding his venues and performances further around the region and is super excited to be making his debut at The Tell.
