Fargo-Moorhead Heritage Society Focusing on awareness and understanding of historic preservation and encouraging recognition, restoration, and preservation of architectural heritage.

The large "Y" sign in front of the YMCA on 1st Ave South, which has stood for 60 years, has just been nominated to the National Register of Historic Places. Congratulations to the Fargo Y.

After asking for a few tweaks to the nomination, the North Dakota State Historic Preservation Review Board approved the idea and forwarded the nomination to Joy Beasley, the keeper of the NRHP.
