Fargo Rotarians have been getting out to over 100 3rd grade classrooms in Fargo, West Fargo and Moorhead to personally deliver dictionaries to kids. Third graders say the darndest things, and it’s a blast to hear their take on all things learning!

This morning, State Superintendent for Public Instruction Levi Bachmeier joined in distributing dictionaries to third graders at Willow Park Elementary (West Fargo Public Schools). He had the kids look up the word "potential." Rotarian Heather Ranck had the kids look up "polio" to learn about a disease nearly eradicated worldwide. The kids were excited to receive their very own dictionaries. One of the kids asked, "we get to keep these forever?!?" Yes, thanks to the 5 local Rotary Clubs, the FM Rotary Foundation, Horace Lions Club and Fargo Elks 260, you do get to keep these books forever!

We held last week’s meeting at a substitute location & what a treat that was! Have you ever been to The Troll Lodge at The Sons of Norway? Check out the cute decor! We were fortunate to be served Swedish meatballs & gravy with homemade mashed potatoes. Tusen takk!

This is what it looks like when Rotary Club members & Elks Club members join forces to prepare dictionaries to give away to all our Fargo Moorhead 3rd grade students. Wow! Kudos to good people doing good things for our community, our children, & our future.
