Missy has been with us since last October! 🥺

We’re looking for a home for this sweet girl where she can be the only fur-child. 🐕 She’s 8 years old and 65 lbs. She was let down by her owners when she was surrendered to a rural shelter with the other animals in the home. 😢 We don’t want to let Missy down again and not find her a forever family!

Don’t let her age fool you, Missy still has the energy and s***k of a young pup. 🐾 She loves her people and bonds quickly. She’s housebroken, crate trained, loves going on walks and lives for exploring the yard and sunbathing on the deck. ☀️

Missy deserves a family to give her all the love she will show them in return! 🥰

Our precious little Daisy is still available for adoption!

Her brother Teddy found his forever home and she’s hoping it won’t be long for family to find her too. 🙏

Daisy is almost 3 months old and 8 lbs. 🐶 She is little, but she is clever, curious, and adventurous. She loves exploring, figures things out quickly, and is already quite the little problem-solver, but when she’s ready to settle down, she is sweet, soft, and affectionate. 🤗

Gracie is so pretty!

She’s the only pup out of seven with a pink nose and light eyes. 🤗 Not only is she absolutely precious, she’s also very sweet! 🥰

Gracie is 2 months old and about 7 lbs. She loves to crawl into your lap and take a serious power nap. She's very lovable and playful and engages easily with other dogs and people. Gracie will make a great family pet! ❤️🐶❤️

How cute is this puppy⁉️

Oscar is a calm two month old pup who's always looking for snuggles. 🤗 When he isn't napping, he loves wrestling with his sister. 🐶 He's curious about other dogs but will look to his people for reassurance and direction. Oscar is going to make a wonderful companion to his lucky new family. 🥰

Daisy and Teddy had so much fun meeting everyone yesterday at Weber's Pet Supermarket, Reston…and then crashed…as puppies tend to do! 😜

Daisy and Teddy are 2 months old and absolutely adorable. 🥰 They are such great pups and will make wonderful companions to their new families.

🐶 Daisy is little, but she is clever, curious, and adventurous. She loves exploring, figures things out quickly, and is already quite the little problem-solver, but when she’s ready to settle down, she is sweet, soft, and affectionate.

🐶 Teddy is easy going and playful. He enjoys investigating the world and wrestling with his sister, but he’s also happy to relax near his people and soak up attention.

Who doesn’t ❤️ a wiener dog⁉️

Rayne is 6 years old and 13 lbs. Rayne and her brother, Oscar, were surrendered to a rural shelter when their family could no longer care for them.

Rayne is in a wonderful foster home with kids, dogs, and cats. 🤗

Her foster mom says, "Rayne is doing great! She is very sweet and gets along very well with our dogs and doesn’t pay attention to our cats. She can be a little shy at first but warms up quickly and wants to be in your lap giving sweet kisses. She would make a great companion to any home!" ❤️🐾❤️

We can’t stand how stinking cute Banjo is! 🤗

At 40 lbs, Banjo is a pint sized pup that thinks he’s one of the big boys. 🐕‍🦺 Our best guess is that he’s a cattle dog/sharpei mixed with some other surprise breeds tossed in. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Banjo is about 3 years old and was found as a stray. Sadly, we don’t know what his life was like before ending up in a rural shelter. 🥺 What we do know is that he is dog friendly, people friendly, loves his walks, play times, is crate trained, housebroken, and is learning leash manners. 🤩 He’s young, energetic, and still very puppy-like.

Banjo has already mastered ‘sit’ and is very food motivated. Treats are life! 😜 New tricks? He should learn quick if treats are involved.

Yesterday we welcomed 9️⃣ absolutely adorable pups to NPA!

As a foster based rescue, we can only save dogs if we have a foster home to place them in. We hate having to say ‘no’ to pups in need simply because we don’t have anywhere to put them.🥺

You can help us say ‘yes’ to Virginia’s most at risk dogs simply by applying to be a foster family at ➡️ www.novapetsalive.org/foster.

We make the process super easy. 🙌 We provide all vet care, support, and supplies. You provide your house and heart!

And because we know we couldn’t do this without our wonderful fosters, we have a foster referral program. 🐶 If you, or a family member/friend, fall in love with your foster, you/they get preference to adopt‼️
