What a phenomenal showing on the national stage! The caliber of competition at this level is intense, which makes having 11 of our middle school students finish in the top 300 an unbelievable achievement.

We didn't crack the top 30 this time, but this experience sets a high bar and gives our middle school students an exciting goal to chase next year. Thank you to the teachers, parents, and community members who continue to support these brilliant young minds!

We're excited to announce the 30 finalists in the Thermo Fisher Scientific Challenge, the nation's premier middle school STEM competition!

A nationwide cohort of scientists, engineers and educators selected the 30 finalists from this year’s Top 300 Junior Innovators, announced earlier this month. The finalists will participate in Thermo Fisher JIC Finals Week in October, where they will be competing for more than $100,000 in awards, including the $25,000 Thermo Fisher Scientific ASCEND (Aspiring Scientists Cultivating Exciting New Discoveries) Award.

Join us in congratulating these young scientists!
