DVSF is a forum for middle and high school students to display scientific research and engineering projects that they have completed. The fairs connect these hard working and inventive young minds with professionals in their fields. Through interviews and project evaluation, the students gain insight into new directions for their research and learn new ways of thinking, often finding mentors and a
dvisers to help them develop their project further. Winners of the DVSF competition receive recognition, scholarships, and monetary prizes, as well as the chance to compete in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair. DVSF provides resources to support student research, including free mentoring and free workshops for teachers.
