Medical outreach is central to our mission at DSACNJ. Yesterday, we had the opportunity to share best practices for delivering the postnatal diagnosis and the guidelines for healthcare of youth and adolescents with Down syndrome at the NJ American Academy of Pediatrics conference.

Continued initiatives like this are essential to improving the healthcare experience for our loved ones—ensuring care that is informed, compassionate, and responsive to their unique needs.

Help out with National Down Syndrome Congress AI project!
National Down Syndrome Congress is working on a project with Microsoft to train and develop generative AI to better represent the Down syndrome community. Microsoft has done similar work with the blind community, the dwarfism community, and other groups. NDSC is gathering photos and videos from people with Down syndrome to create a more accurate and diverse collection of generative AI images. We are reaching out for your support with this project.

NDSC is hosting focus groups to gather that input. If you’re willing to help ensure AI is trained on representative data, please sign up for one of the focus groups available. Please note that participation in this focus group does not mean you will automatically participate in providing photos and videos.

Below are the dates available for individual focus groups. Please only choose the option that best aligns with your connection to this project. If there is more than one focus group that applies to you, please choose the date and time that works best for you.
