Center for the Arts Evergreen

Center for the Arts Evergreen A nonprofit arts organization with gallery exhibitions, classes, camps, concerts, festivals, & more!

Founded in 1975, Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) has spent 50 years fostering and promoting the arts in the foothills west of Denver. What began as a grassroots effort by local artists and art enthusiasts has grown into a dynamic nonprofit arts center dedicated to engaging the community through diverse exhibitions, high-quality arts education, and extensive outreach programs. In June 2024, CAE

completed a transformative $2.8M expansion, doubling its space and adding a state-of-the-art ceramics studio, private artist studios, and an Artist-in-Residence program. This expansion reinforces CAE’s role as a true community hub, providing a welcoming space for artistic exploration, education, and connection. CAE’s commitment to artistic excellence includes hosting at least 10 exhibitions annually, offering beginning-to-advanced-level visual arts and crafts classes for all ages, creative writing courses, master workshops, children’s summer camps, and teen mural and mentorship programs. Additionally, CAE presents both a gallery and an outdoor concert series, provides rental space for community businesses and nonprofits, and produces three free or low-cost arts festivals each year. A curated artisanal gift shop at the Center showcases and supports local artists. Beyond the walls of the Center, CAE’s robust outreach initiatives use the power of art to engage underserved and socially isolated populations, ensuring that creativity is accessible to all.

What’s your favorite food memory? 🍓🍞🍝☕️🍫

A family recipe passed down through generations. A meal shared with friends. A favorite dish that instantly takes you back to a moment in time.

Art on the Menu explores food as both sustenance and symbol, celebrating the tastes, traditions, rituals, and memories that shape our lives and communities. Through diverse artistic perspectives and media, everyday ingredients and shared meals become stories of identity, connection, culture, and creativity.

🖼️ On view June 11 – July 18
Stop by the gallery and experience this thoughtful exhibition for yourself.

Free admission to Art on the Menu is made possible by the generous support of PandoraJohn Properties, The Hummingbird Club, and the SCFD.

And just like that, our first week of summer camps is in the books 💚☀️🎨

This week, kids and teens ages 5–18 spent their days painting jungle animals, creating comic art, exploring clay magic, recreating famous artworks, and even working on murals around town. It was a week full of creativity, new friendships, and a whole lot of art-making.

The good news? We still have camps with spots available throughout the summer ✨

And if a full camp isn't the right fit, there are plenty of other ways to add a little art to your summer:
