Mark your calendars! We are just four weeks away from our annual Nestbox Build Day! Join us on Saturday, September 12th, from 9am-4pm at the Evergreen Nature Center 🛠📦🐦

Once again, Evergreen Audubon members will be hands-on in solving the need for good homes for our local birds! We need volunteers to help build nestboxes for the Alternative Gift Fair sale, our online sales, our spring nestbox sales event, and for replacing damaged nestboxes along our bluebird monitoring trails.

Folks can come any time during the day.
We will continue working until we are finished or tired.
No experience is necessary; we will show you exactly what to do!
Everyone is welcome—we especially encourage families with children to come and build nestboxes together.
Sign-up to volunteer! To sign up, or to learn more about the importance of nestboxes, visit https://evergreenaudubon.org/events/nestbox-build-day/?datetime=403 or find the event through the Evergreen Audubon Events Calendar

Our chapter meeting for the month of August will be an informal one, but a fun one! We will be welcoming our new Nature Center Educator, Trevor Roche, on this Tuesday, August 4th at 6:00pm. We will hold it on the front porch of the Evergreen Nature Center! 🐢

During this chapter meeting, you’ll have the opportunity to get to know Trevor, learn about his background and passion for environmental education, and hear what he’s looking forward to in his new role. We’re excited to have him on the team, and know he’ll be a wonderful addition to Evergreen Audubon’s staffing and team.

This will be all in-person, with no Zoom meeting held this month. To learn more about Trevor before you meet him, or if you would like to bring cookies or be a greeter, please visit: https://evergreenaudubon.org/events/august-2026-chapter-meeting-draft-2/?datetime=269

Just one more week until our Annual Potluck Picnic! 🧺🍲 RSVP by July 15th to bring a dish and to let us know you're coming!

Come join us for one of Evergreen Audubon’s favorite summer traditions—an evening of good food, community, and time in nature together. On Sunday, July 19th from 4pm-7pm, we’ll gather outdoors in Bancroft Meadow - with Douglas Hall open for restrooms and in case of inclement weather.

This event is primarily designed for members, but guests are always welcome! For more information on the schedule, information about food, how to sign up to bring a dish, what else to bring, and to RSVP, please visit: https://evergreenaudubon.org/events/evergreen-audubon-annual-potluck-picnic/?datetime=396 or access the page through the Evergreen Audubon events calendar. Please RSVP by July 15th so we can plan accordingly.
