You’ll never see a hearse pulling a U-Haul — you can’t take it with you. But Jesus says you can store it up.

“For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” (Matthew 6:21)

Treasure in heaven is faithfulness God sees — the meal you dropped off, the need you quietly met. The food is gone by tomorrow. The love is stored up.

Your heart follows your investment. Invest in what lasts.

Save this as a reminder for the week.

We talk about Matthew 6:21 and how giving to what God values shapes our heart. Jesus connects our treasure with our heart, showing that our use of resources reveals our affections. We discuss how directing resources can actually shape affections, calling it a spiritual discipline that isn’t automatic but should be progressive. We encourage starting somewhere.

Be honest — we’ve all used at least one of these.

From “I’ll be generous when I have more” to “someone richer needs to hear this,” it’s easy to agree with Jesus and still find a reason to wait. But agreeing with Jesus isn’t the same as obeying Him.

Next time one of these shows up, take one generous step anyway — even a small one.

Save this for later.

10/13/2026

We talk about how money can capture our hearts and make us see others’ needs as threats, but as God reshapes our hearts, we begin to see opportunities to love and share instead.

Five loaves and two fish weren’t even close to enough. Jesus used them anyway.

“For if the willingness is there, the gift is acceptable according to what one has, not according to what one does not have.” (2 Corinthians 8:12)

Your lack doesn’t disqualify you from being used by God. Start with what’s already in your hands.

Pray this today: “Lord, what would faithfulness look like with what You’ve entrusted to me today?” Type “Amen” if you’re praying it with us.

We talk about the common phrases people use to distance themselves from religious practice, like ‘I’m spiritual but not religious’ or ‘I’m a Christian but not practicing,’ and how these contradict Jesus’ words in Luke 6:46 about calling Him Lord without doing what He says.

Jesus asked a question that still cuts deep: “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say?” (Luke 6:4...

Jesus asked a question that still cuts deep: “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things I say?” (Luke 6:46)

Saying the right words is easy. Living them is the whole point. Following Jesus means trusting who He is enough to do what He says.

Be honest — what are you giving Him: words, or your life?

Send this to a friend who’s walking it out with you.

We talk about the key of taking up our cross, emphasizing that Jesus calls us not only to prepare to die but also to live a new, better life according to His standards. We explore how He invites us into His rest by following Him, moving beyond religious rituals to true life in His will.

Two words. Simple to say. Hard to live.

When Jesus said “Follow me,” He wasn’t asking for a little more religion. He was inviting us to deny ourselves, take up our cross, and let Him lead — into our hurt, our money, even that one relationship.

And the invitation ends in rest: “Come to me, all of you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28)
