✨ Teacher Feature ✨
We would love to introduce you to one of the wonderful staff members — Gabby! 🦋
Gabby is our lead teacher for Flutter Friends and our new site manager at Mariposas Play Center. She has been part of Mariposas for almost two years, joining the team in August 2024.
One of Gabby’s favorite parts of working with young children is helping them feel comfortable, confident, and excited to play. She loves watching kids try something new for the first time and seeing parents light up right alongside them.
In her role, Gabby enjoys building trust and relationships with the children so they feel excited to come play, explore, and be themselves. She also loves decorating the center for each new theme and helping bring the curriculum to life.
Something families may not know is that Gabby also hosts Craft & Play on Tuesdays — and she would love to help parents learn to knit or get into a crafty flow with other adults while the kids play. Her dream is to help create a knitting circle or quilting bee here at the center!
A few fun facts about Gabby:
💛 Favorite color: golden yellow, like the late afternoon sun
🐾 Childhood favorite: everything Blue’s Clues and her special blanket
🦆 Favorite children’s song: “Five Little Ducks,” because her mom sang it to her and her brothers, and it still holds a special place in her heart
Gabby also dreams of hosting a q***r family playgroup sometime in the near future, helping create even more opportunities for families to connect, feel seen, and build community.
