Life restoration on a working ranch. A 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Our mission is simple: To help young men overcome crisis and thrive in work and life.

Rockside Ranch is a working ranch in a rural community—the ideal setting for students to retreat from the distractions of a modern world and step into a rugged experience in nature. Students at Rockside Ranch want to overcome crisis and they’re willing to do what it takes to change their lives forever. Over 80% of Rockside graduates are employed today. Remember, crisis can be the middle of the story, but it doesn’t have to be the end. We help students overcome crisis so they can thrive in work and life.

“Now I know I’m not alone.” 🤝

When Jordan got to Rockside, he was carrying a lot: his addiction, his mistakes, and the belief that he’d always have to face life by himself. Instead, he found a community that looked past all of it and walked with him.

Before we start morning chores, Steven takes a few minutes to read from Psalms and pray with the guys.

A good reminder to start the day in God’s Word before getting caught up in everything that needs to be done.

A lot gets learned during chores.

The guys get hands-on experience caring for animals, managing pasture, and learning why we do things the way we do. It’s a chance to learn regenerative farming, but also what it looks like to take good care of what’s been entrusted to us.

Recently, the students took a camping trip to Lassen National Park!
It was a great weekend spent hiking and enjoying God's incredible creation!

Some of the best moments at the ranch happen in conversations. 🍂

Slowing down, sitting together & talking through life. Restoration isn't something anyone does alone; it happens in community, one honest conversation at a time.

"I get to do this, instead of I have to do this."

Brett came to Rockside to get free from addiction. Along the way, he found something he didn't expect: joy in the small things. Chores, responsibilities, ordinary days all became chances to serve the people around him.

That's what recovery can look like. Not just stopping something, but learning to really live.

Every project is about more than the finished product. 🛠️

With every cut, measurement, and lesson learned, students are building skills, confidence, and responsibility that will serve them long after the project is complete. 💪🏼
