Laurel's Model Horse Show is this Sunday in Erie at the Knowledge Center next to Behrend! Do you have a horse-crazy child with no live horse? Then Model Horse is an option for you! This show is a great opportunity to see an awesome part of the PA 4-H Horse Program, whether you are enrolled or not. Youth and adult classes, no 4-H affiliation required.

New record! $85 /pound for a total of $23,460 donated directly to Parkinson Partners of Northwestern PA 💚

Last week supporters joined together to donate a total of $81 per pound to go directly to Parkinson’s Partners of NW PA. That is $22,356. More than setting an all time record, these funds will help local families through some of the hardest times in their lives.

Have you been to visit the 4-H Horse and Pony Barn at the Albion Area Fair? Riddick loves visitors and wants you to come check out the upgrades that were made possible from an Erie Community Foundation grant! There's even information about joining 4-H. Riddick and his owner Abbygail are part of the Horsin' Around 4-H Club that meets in Albion.

We are very grateful to everyone who contributed to the Erie County 4-H Charity Hog at the Waterford Fair Youth Livestock Sale last week to benefit Parkinson Partners of Northwestern PA. Many people in the room had loved ones who were affected by Parkinson's disease. It was amazing to see bidders driving the price to break the previous record of $60/lb! Then Chesley Auctioneering LLC called for anyone who wanted to add on $1/lb and it was hard to count how many raised their numbers, with even more added on at check out! Thank you all for showing our youth what community looks like and how we can come together to "Make the Best Better"! These are the moments that instill the values the next generation needs to be to lead with compassion in an ever-changing world.

We did it!

But it never would have happened without everyone who stepped up to make it possible—and an incredible group of bidders who came forward to support this effort.

We couldn’t be more grateful or humbled by what happened Thursday night. A record amount was raised for Parkinson Partners of Northwest PA, thanks to these generous supporters and the many, many others who jumped in and did their part.
