You don't have to wait for the next olympics to get your curling fix. The Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League are coming to ESPN in the US this fall!

The Grand Slam of Curling and Rock League announced Tuesday new three-year agreements with ESPN, delivering more than 300 hours of live curling coverage to American fans across ESPN+ on the ESPN App this upcoming season.

We know "donate to the curling club" can feel abstract. This year, donor support helped us:

🥌 Pay off our rocks! 🥌
We just sent our final payment, finishing out the rent-to-own program that put our curling stones in the club's hands. They're fully ours now, which is a huge milestone for our club!

🥌 Make our stones truly ours. 🥌
As part of that final payoff, we had to send back the handles that came with the rocks. We're now outfitting our stones with our own FCCC handles, in our club colors, and with special engraved messages from members of our club and community. (Handle sponsorships available as an Erie Gives option!)

🥌 Gear up for Learn to Curl classes and other events. 🥌
Through donor support, we've been able to purchase new scoreboards and new club brooms (enough that every single curler at a sold-out Learn to Curl event gets to use quality equipment).

None of that happens without donors showing up on Erie Gives Day. This Tuesday, August 11, we're asking our community to help us keep it going!

📅 Save the date! Erie Gives is less than 1 week away - Tuesday, August 11th!

Erie Gives is a one-day giving event that helps us grow the sport of curling in Erie. Thanks to your generosity last year, we were able to purchase new handles for our curling stones, a key step in securing the future of our club.

We got back on the ice to put markings down, this time with full center and t-lines! Thanks to everyone who put the sweat in or just stopped by to check it out. (And of course LECOM Sports Park on all the work to get us ALMOST back on the ice.)

Natalie, Meghan, Kristin and Jen participated in The Buffalo Curling Club's Ladies Bonspiel this weekend. They weren't able to notch a W, but it was good to get some curling in at the tail end of the season!
