At Runnin’ Free Ranch, we have people needing help on a our waiting list.
When someone finally becomes willing to receive help, access shouldn’t be delayed indefinitely. We are working to expand counseling capacity so more people can begin the hard work of healing when they are ready.
That is why we are making room for more clients. Join us through the Make Room Initiative we started in September. Our goal is to raise an additional $100,000.00 by March of 2027.

THANK YOU, Rotary Club of Ennis!

We were blessed with the opportunity to share the heart and mission of Runnin’ Free Ranch at today’s Ennis Rotary Club meeting!
Not only did they give us the opportunity to share how equine-assisted services are making a difference in the lives of those in our community, but they also presented us with a check to support our Making Room campaign!
Making Room is about creating space for healing, hope, and transformation for those who need it most. Every gift helps us open the door for more individuals to experience the life-changing impact of the ranch.
We are so grateful to the Ennis Rotary Club for welcoming us, listening to our mission, and helping us make room for more healing in our community.
When a community comes together, we can make room for so much more!

There are stories on our waitlist that make our hearts so heavy.
Today, there is a teen on our waitlist who loves horses and comes from a broken family. Their family reached out to Runnin Free Ranch looking for support and a way to help their teen navigate what they are facing.
When we learned that the father was not open to traditional counseling but was open to equine therapy, we were reminded of just how important this work is.
Sometimes, the first step toward healing looks different for everyone. For this teen, that step may begin with Runnin Free Ranch.
This is why we are making room.
Making room for the people who are waiting.
Making room for families searching for hope.
Making room for counselors who can walk alongside them.
People are waiting for their opportunity to take their next step. We want to be ready when they are.

Why Horses?
Learning to set healthy boundaries can be difficult, especially when you’ve never had a safe place to practice them.
At the Ranch, clients have the opportunity to work alongside horses and learn what healthy boundaries look and feel like. Through these interactions, they can practice communicating clearly, respecting personal space, building trust, and recognizing patterns that may show up in their relationships.
What begins with a horse can become a lesson they carry far beyond the Ranch.
