"Source & Resource" is our theme for June and this month we'll be highlighting some new helpful resources on Thursday Nights. Jesus is the "Source" of our healing and salvation. The Body of Christ through Him contributes helpful books, podcasts, seminars, etc. This week via Zoom, we'll be sharing the 4th of a 6 video series from Amy Orr Ewing--"Forgiveness: A Healer of Trauma and Anxiety". Amy is a theologian, author, speaker and an advocate of those who have suffered abuse and trauma in their backgrounds. How is Christ's crucifixion an empathetic witness to these survivors? Her latest book is called "Forgiveness: Reclaiming it's Power in a Culture of Outrage and Fear"

Will you join us in prayer during pride month?

Editor’s Note: This is an article from a few years ago (June 2022) that remains appropriate today in 2026. At the end, I’ve added a acronym for pride that is a good prayer guide. We’ve been using this for a few years as we prayer for those attending pride events.

Happy June--Boy, this year is flying by! With the new month, we begin our new theme for Thursdays: "Source and Resource"--(Jesus being the Source for our healing and salvation and the Body of Christ putting out helpful resources to help us along the way)--we'll be highlighting one each week. This Thursday we'll be sharing a video of Drew Boa from his helpful YouTube channel "Husband Material" and his new book "Outgrow P**n". A good portion of us were exposed to po*******hy as young children--The average age is 8 these days sadly. His book and website are a compassionate view of how to let go of this addictive behavior. The pacifier on the cover is spot on.

As May wraps up, we're also finishing our theme for the month: "Loving the People Behind the Letters and Those Who Love Them". This week Scott will explore some questions, choices and decisions someone growing up with gender or s*xual identity issues can face. These questions are often explored alone and at times can be painful and confusing--"Milestones into Millstones"...What do I make of these confusing feelings? Who is safe for me to share with? Do I take an identity label? Do I stay or leave my faith? Stay tuned for fresh topics in June with our new theme "Source (Jesus) & Resource"

Here's an article by a friend of WGA who has struggled with mental health issues for most of her life. We wanted to share her story with you, as it offers a glimpse into the experiences of someone living with bipolar disorder.

Editor’s Note: This is an article by a friend of WGA (Rebecca) who has struggled with mental health issues for most of her life. We wanted to share her story with you, as it offers a glimpse into the experiences of someone living with bipolar disorder. We encounter a number of mental health issues...

We're continuing our theme for May on Thursdays this month--"Loving the People Behind the Letters and Those Who Love Them" It's a lengthy title, but all about God's LOVE being poured out. This week live from our Cap Hill Church, Scott will talk about "Who's Script Am I Following?" There can be some unhelpful or too simplified narratives we can grab hold of growing up with same s*x attraction or gender incongruence. Family members can live in these unhelpful "scripts" too...join us for this interesting discussion.

This week via Zoom--live from PA, Greg will continue our theme for May--"Loving the People Behind the Letters and Those Who Love Them"--it's all about God's love being poured out. He'll be exploring some theology in his presentation "Our Bodies Tell God's Story". Sound intriguing? We're looking forward to hearing what he has to say. Roger, upon hearing Greg's title said "I'd like a different story please" LOL--and as my body ages--I concur :) Stay tuned for more gender and s*xual identity topics coming up this month.
