At 13 years young, Grayson has been adopted! Mom, Eleanor, was determined to adopt this handsome guy after reading his heartbreaking story. You see, Grayson was almost the victim of euthanasia, simply because he was no longer wanted by his long time family. But, there was no way this healthy guy was was going anywhere but with a future adopter! His new mom knew immediately when she met him that she wanted nothing more than to scoop him up and give him the best golden years he could ever dream of! Grayson bonded with her right away, knowing he found the furrever that he deserved. There was no question that they were meant to be. And now, his broken heart is just a distant memory as he begins his new journey as the man of the house with his new mom! πŸ‘‘β€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ˜»πŸŽ‰

Kitty of the Month of May is...BETSY!
This beautiful girl was voted on for her beauty, silliness and her patience. She's been waiting for WAY too long to find her purrfect family! She's not a super fan of other kitties, but absolutely loves her humans! But, we'll let her tell you her story...

"I'm a quirky 3 yr old spayed female who was surrendered as stray with 3 of my babies in tow. I'm not really sure how I ended up lost and alone but trying to survive on my own with 3 newborns was not the life I wanted. I like exploring and discovering new things. I especially like toys with the nip! When I don't have the occasional zoomies, my other favorite activities are napping and observing others. Throughout my time here, I've learned that I'm not the best at sharing and I don't particularly enjoy new furry friends. You see, I was adopted once but quickly learned that I didn't want to live with another kitty. So, I've been back for while and hoping that I can be someone's only child this time. That way, I can have all the beds, toys and humans to myself! I'm a really good girl, I'm just a picky princess. Arn't all pretty girls selective? Just give me a little attention and my purr switch will turn on right away and we'll be on our way to being besties! I haven't been dog tested but I think respectful kids would be fine."

If you're interested in Betsy, head to the website to learn more about her and submit an application to meet her!

How about a hump day update? This handsome devil is Felix! You may remember he was chosen to join the same household as our previously adopted Maeve. That's right, mom runs the furry senior center which also includes canine, Carol. Mom says Maeve is still the director and gives out the daily orders. Felix has taken on the role of supervisor, always making sure everything is running smoothly and inspecting the daily activities. Mom says he's like velcro and is always by her side, appearing whenever she turns around. He loves his window seats and works part time as the neighborhood watchman. As you can see in one of the pics, he's also learning how to walk on a leash, which he thoroughly enjoys! These two are certainly living the best golden years ever thanks to their mom, who specifically seeks out seniors. They definitley run a tight ship, but hopefully they'll let mom stick around!πŸ πŸ‘‘πŸ’›πŸ₯³

The Kaleidoscope kitties are taking a "paws" today to honor their fallen feline heroes. Many cats have served in several wars as protectors of food stores and vital resources. Not only did they prevent the spread of disease by being expert mousers, they also boosted moral and were even adopted as mascots. From battleships to the trenches, they proved that they can provide a bright light in even the darkest times.πŸͺ–πŸπŸ˜Όβ€οΈβ€πŸ©Ή

May is Mental Health Awareness Month, making it the purrfect time to highlight some of the the positive effects that owning a kitty can have on our mental, physical, and emotional well being. We already know that cats are funny, quirky, crazy, loving, cute, and cuddly. But, these sweet little souls can be life savers too...and not just the candy kind!πŸ₯°πŸβ€οΈβ€πŸ©ΉπŸ˜½

He waited over 1.5 years for his adoption day...and the big day has finally arrived! Reaux has always been a super sweet guy since the day he was brought to us. But, over the past 6 months, he has shown that he was losing hope. He became very bored and uninterested during his meetings. But, this appointment was different! It took him less than a minute to decide to show all his loving qualities toward his new mom, Chris! He asked for her affection and showed her his belly for the first time ever! He flopped around with excitement and performed his signature drive-by leg boops. When it was photo time, he didn't even hesitate to sit on the lap of his new human brother, TJ. And so, this is another prime example of how the kitties choose their humans. And, Reaux certainly made his choice very clear! He'll be the king of his new castle and get all the love he's ever dreamed of!πŸŽ‰πŸ’–πŸ˜ΈπŸ‘‘

It's hot outside today, but here's an update to warm up your heart even more! This is Hansel & Gretel...now known as Miles & Moxie! Mom says these kittos have totally overtaken the house and her heart! Moxie is still a spitfire. She's fearless and full of fun and curiosity. Miles has a more quiet approach to life. Mom says he's her loverboy and his more quiet and gentle. But, he definitely matches Moxie's energy when it comes to playing tag and batting toys around with his sister. They both spend lots of time in the windows and they go to work everyday with mom while she works remotely in the sunroom. They're always by her side and they've even taken a few road trips! A few of those car rides have been back here to the hospital to get nail trims. We love it when our former fur babies continue to use our hospital for continued care because that means we get to watch them grow! And, these two little beauties have certainly grown up after being adopted as kittens.πŸ₯°πŸ˜½πŸŽ‰πŸŒž
