The first of our Aristocats litter has been adopted...this is Giuseppe! He (and his two brothers) didn't even make it to our website because he was scooped up by two of our employee's, Steve and Autumn! This super cute adoption story begins with mom falling head over paws for him while caring for him in our hospital. Keep in mind that mom's birthday was fast approaching. Once he was healthy and ready for the world, dad came up with a surprise plan to adopt him for mom's birthday! So, we put an adoption appointment on the schedule and mom got really upset thinking someone else had adopted him (kind of mean, right?!). Then, we had her bring him into the adoption room while we a few of us waited inside and after a bit of confusion, she realized it was her husband who was adopting him! It was a fun little celebration and the purrfect way to start this little guy's new life! Happy birthday AND happy adoption day!🎁πŸ₯³πŸ˜»πŸ€

Our newest Kitty of the Month is...Hexagon!
She received votes because of her elixir of sweet, sour, and spicy personalities. She's super loyal to her chosen ones but doesn't care much for the company of other furries. She's demanding to tell you about herself, and she usually gets her way...

"Meow! I'm a confident 4 year old spayed female who was found in a ditch in active labor along side 3 of my kitty friends. Only a few hours after arriving at Kaleidoscope, I gave birth to one baby girl. Luckily, she was adopted quickly, but I'm still waiting. I was actually adopted last year, but I was too talkative and affectionate I guess. Since coming back to Kaleidoscope, I've become a very independent gal and it's true that I love to chat. I heard my middle name is diva, but I say I'm just a girl who knows what she wants. Sure, I can act spicy when I don't like something, but doesn't everyone? I often hear the humans say that I'm all bark and no bite. How dare I be referred to a stinky dog! In reality, I really love human attention...that is if you're one of my chosen ones. And, I love to play with kicker toys, especially springs! I'm great at entertaining myself but I prefer to know that humans are around to watch me show off. I'm also a social eater too. Since I prefer to have humans all to myself, I don't like other furry friends at all. I mean, don't I deserve all the attention? I have not been dog or child tested but I don't think any of those options sound like a good time. I'd love to find my very own human who understands my occasional, affectionate sassafrass. I really am full of so much love and I just want to be loved back, furrever this time!"πŸΎπŸ‘‘πŸ₯°πŸ˜½

Did someone order some fruit salad...to go? New mom and dad, Rose and Alex, sure did! This brother and sister duo, Peaches and Blueberry, along with their sister Cherry (who's adoption was posted a few weeks ago) were fostered by one of our ameowzing doctor's! They were just a few days old and needed 24hr care and bottle feedings...and four months later their foster mom gave them big hugs and one last round of smooches. Their new mom and dad came in specifically wanting to meet these two and the bond was almost instant between all four of them upon meeting. There were cuddles and affections all around, leaving no doubt that they all chose each other. They will be completely spoiled as the only children in the house and dad rattled off an entire list of all the kitty things that were purchased in preparation for their arrival! The kittos happily walked right into their new carrier together, thus beginning their happurrrly ever after!πŸŽ‰πŸ‘πŸ«πŸ’•

It's Otter's turn to celebrate her big day! If you're thinking this couple looks familiar, well, they are! This is Kurt and Nancy's fourth adoption in less than two years. They already have a full house but were quickly smitten with this sweet little kitten. Now, let's be clear...some of their adoptions have included pairs. Adding Otter to their current furr family brings them to a total ofπŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯TEN! We joked during their last adoption (just a few short months ago) that they would need an even number. Dad said "no way", like he always doesπŸ˜‰. So it was quite a surprise when it was dad who sent the first email about adding this little girl to the crew! Honestly, it was actually thought that it was a prank! Mom was as shocked as we were but she was excitedly on board for more! You can see the photo evidence that Otter was just as happy about the whole idea and was giving kisses to her chosen humans from day one. She's off to live her dream life full of love, entertainment and no shortage of playmates! All that's left to ask is...who's next?!πŸ₯°πŸŽ‰πŸ¦¦πŸ˜½

It's celebration time for one of our sweetest boys ever...Boots! His new mom and dad, Erin and Dan, were pretty certain during their first meeting. But, they didn't want Boots to have any doubts. So, they visited a second time and Boots wasn't letting them leave again without having them promise to take him home! This gentle little guy can be really shy with new humans sometimes, but he was asking for belly rubs, drooling on them, and giving slow blinks almost right away. There were definitely no doubts! While his main focus will surely be on having his own humans to adore, he's also joining a fur sister, Marnie. So, he'll have even more love to spread around. It's almost hard to remember how long it took to socialize him and help him realize he was safe. All those months spent wondering if he'd relax enough to let others in. And now, he gets to live the life he was dreaming of, full of attention, safety and all the love he ever imagined...furrever!πŸŽ‰πŸ’•πŸ₯°πŸ₯Ή

It's Cotton & Carrot's big day! These bonded brothers came to us with their eyes crusted shut and trembling little bodies. Carrot's sweet eyes took much longer to open and heal than his brother, so he relied heavily on Cotton for reassurance and guidance. Once they both completed their rehab, there was no stopping them! They quickly discovered toys and became social little butterflies, so it was no surprise that they were scooped up by their new mom and dad, Anna and Jacob, at their very first meeting. They might've been more interested in playing during that visit, but the result was the same! Mom and dad loved their playfulness and their super sweet personalities and knew they'd be the purrfect furry friends for their current kitties, Ember and Evie. And as an added bonus, they also join a bunny sibling, Jett, and a gecko lizard, Spyro. There will certainly never be a shortage of energy and entertainment in this new and improved household!πŸ˜ΊπŸ°πŸ¦ŽπŸŽ‰

We're continuing our marathon of adoption announcements with this handsome little man...Choice! Grab some popcorn for this one🍿.

You may be wondering why he has two adoption photos. Well, the casual one was taken during one of our play sessions as a precaution because this boy is incredibly shy. But, he surprised us when he was willing to take the real photo! He was definitely ready for his big day, despite his anxiety. The same went for his first meeting with his new mom, Sarah. Normally, he's so shy that he'll hide out in the corner when new people visit. But, it's almost like he knew Sarah was different. She gave him all the patience he needed and introduced herself slowly. After a while, he wanted her to pet him...even his belly! Luckily, she's used to this kind of approach, since she experienced a long road with her current rescue, Mario. She wanted Mario to have a buddy, and someone with a similar personality. And well, it didn't take her too long to know that Choice was the one!πŸŽ‰

If I may break the sacred wall again, his adoption day is an emotional one since it's been a long recovery for him, emotionally and socially. I've spent almost every single day, every single lunch break, every free moment, reassuring him he's safe and loved. Countless hours spent one on one with him, whether it was sitting in his cage with him, helping him learn to play with toys, learn to trust other kitties, and most importantly, help him understand that not all humans are bad. He only trusted me and the person who rescued him (πŸ‘‹) and I hoped that someday he'd know how to trust a brand new human. And well, with tears in my eyes, I saw it happen as he allowed Sarah to softly pet him. I literally saw his fears melt away for a moment as he turned over and asked for a belly rub. Then, she asked him if he'd like to come home with her, furrever. A slow blink was all he needed to say. So, off he goes to live his new, well deserved life that he's worked so hard to find...with a little piece of my heart in tow.πŸ’•πŸ₯°πŸ˜»πŸŽ
