Our mission at Kaleidoscope Health & Rescue Inc is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home animals, provide community help with low cost veterinary care and colony health as well as house animals in crisis need(environmental disaster, abuse situations housing issues, etc.) We are committed, passionate and responsive to the animals in our care and community. As human stewards of this earth, the volunteers of Kaleidoscope work to support and preserve the precious lives on this planet. We strive to create a humane living environment for those we have contact with. To do this we will work within three large phases:
Phase one: community care, colony health, trap and release. Phase two: feline leukemia sanctuary with land acquisition to set up for the next phase. Phase three: The final phase will be domestic violence community to house not only the pets but the people while the physical and mental trauma mend.

The Kaleidoscope kitties certainly love to model for their photos and of course those pics are the first impression. But, selecting the purrfect kitty is way more than just a cute little face. All kinds of personalities and commitments come along with those sweet images. So, here are some things to ask yourself while searching for your new family member.🤔😻

If you've answered these questions and feel ready to meet some pawsome kittos, head to the website to check out all our adoptable kitties and bat us an application! Or, feel free to paw up an email if you have questions!💻

This cute little thing is yet another one of our failures...a foster fail that is! This is Ping and she was brought in with her two brothers after being found on a boat. They were only a few days old and needed 24hr TLC. And well, she (and her brothers) hit the jackpot because her foster mom is also one of our furrbulous employees, Sophia! Mom struggled with the decision of keeping all of them but decided to let fate take it's course. Before they were even posted publicly, her two brothers were adopted (you may remember seeing Turbo & Piston's adoption last month). After that, there was no way mom was letting little Ping end up alone. So, after weeks of bottle feedings, countless sleepless nights, and months of bonding, Mom made it official. Now, Ping gets to continue living life the way it was meant to be and together, they set sail on furrever!🥹💝🎉⛵

As you've noticed, we've had quite the marathon of adoptions this summer! And now, here is Sunset (appropriately named) to bring a close to the summertime mayhem. And, of course, there is a bit of a story🍿...
This sleek and sweet little guy had lots of friends during his life at Kaleidoscope (yes, he spent his entire 1 year of life here in the shelter), and he spent his summer watching them all find their furrever homes. During this time, I often had thoughts about a family that I knew would be purrfect for him. You see, this meowvelous couple, Chris & Meghan, adopted a very shy boy last year named Turtle (who is now living the best life ever!). And, I often thought about the similarities the two boys had and their differences could bring out the best in each other. So, I took a chance and decided to reach out them to see if they were ready for some new energy in the house. And well, they responded with excitement and couldn't wait to meet Sunset! It was a bit sooner than they planned, but they were indeed looking for a playmate for Turtle since his current feline brother, Smokey, is a senior gentleman who enjoys low impact exercise these days. Sunset can be very shy and anxious when meeting new humans, but he didn't hesitate to tell his future parents that he was the one! It also didn't take long for them to see that Sunset would be a great addition to the family! And so, sweet Sunset finally found his furrever too, with the family he waited his whole life for. The saying is that you have to take fate into your own hands (or paws) sometimes. And, for Sunset, fate just needed a little head boop!🔮🎉🐈‍⬛🐢
