Union Presbyterian Church of Endicott

Union Presbyterian Church of Endicott Our Mission: As members of Union Presbyterian Church, we live to serve our Lord, our congregation, our community, and our world.

UPC is a warm, loving and welcoming Christian community, worshipping in our historically rich sanctuary, where individuals and families, young and mature alike can seek to provide justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with their God.

Help us stock the Union Presbyterian Church Endicott Food Pantry ! πŸ›οΈ

Thanks to a generous donor, we have been able to add feminine hygiene products, dish soap, and laundry detergent to our pantry shelves. Additional donations of these items for our neighbors are greatly appreciated!

Dish soap and laundry detergent are items often requested but something that we haven't been able to stock. We look forward to adding these items to our pantry shelves.

We can accept larger pad packages, but for soap and detergent, smaller sizes like those available at Dollar Tree would be appreciated.

Our pantry is busier than ever, and every donation makes a real difference to the families we serve.

If you'd like to support the pantry in other ways, you're welcome to give online at upcendicott.org/giving or through the Vanco mobile app.

Prayer for a Time of Disaster

God of compassion, keep vigil with us this day.
We grieve for the dead and pray for the wounded.
We watch and wait with those who seek news about loved ones.
We remember those who serve others:
rescue workers and police officers,
nurses and physicians,
and volunteers of every kind.
Fill them with your breath of life
as they bind up the broken hearted,
heal bodies, and bury the dead.
Enfold us all in your tender care
as we entrust our lives to you.
We pray in your holy name. Amen.

From the Presbyterian Church (USA ) Daily Prayer Book

A devastating fire has left individuals and families in our community without a place to live. In a matter of moments, residents lost not only their housing, but also many of their personal belongings, clothing, medications, and essential items.

Today, our neighbors need us.

We are launching the Knights Inn Emergency Relief Fund to provide immediate assistance to those displaced by this tragedy. Donations will help meet urgent needs such as temporary housing, food, clothing, transportation, hygiene supplies and other critical supports as individuals and families begin the difficult process of rebuilding their lives.

When crisis strikes, our community responds. Together, we can help ensure that those affected by this fire have the resources, support, and hope they need in the days and weeks ahead.

Donate here https://uwbroome.harnessgiving.org/campaigns/21351.

Physical/in-kind donations are not currently needed. Please call 2-1-1 if you are looking for a place to donate goods.

Happy Father's Day

Today we give thanks for all fathers, for their love, care, and the countless ways they are present in our lives.

We also give thanks for those whose fatherly spirit shows up in our church family, through encouragement, mentoring, and care.

And we hold gently those for whom this day feels tender or hard, surrounding them with grace and love.

Today is World Refugee Day. 🌍

"Love your neighbor as yourself." Neighborly love has no borders.

According to the UN, nearly 118 million people were displaced around the world by the end of 2025.

Take a moment today to hold them in your hearts and learn someone's story.

✨New Message of the Week from Rev. Pat✨

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strenght, and love your neighbor as yourself" the Greatest Commandment.

This week as part of a new sermon series entitled: "A Deeper Life" we will be exploring how we love God with our mind. What comes to mind for you?

We would love for you join us!

The church office is closed today in observance of Juneteenth.

β€œJuneteenth has never been a celebration of victory or an acceptance of the way things are. Instead, it’s a celebration of progress.” - President Barack Obama

We invite you to pause today and reflect on what freedom and equality mean to us all and how we can keep moving forward in our call to justice.

🧺 Who's ready for another From the UPC Archives? πŸ“Έ

This photo comes to us all the way from a Choir Picnic in 1921! It was that same year our church had to change its name. Organized formally as First Presbyterian Church in the Village of Union in 1819 β€” when the Villages of Union and Endicott merged to form the Village of Endicott in 1921, there was already a First Presbyterian Church of Endicott.

The name Union Presbyterian Church was selected to help perpetuate the original name of Union Village β€” more on UPC's interesting connection to why the village was called Union coming up in a post soon!

We know it's over a century old β€” but we do have the names! Let us know who you think they might be. πŸ‘‡
