Emmaus Arts We are focused on raising awareness and visibility of the arts in the greater Emmaus area. We are making art to make an impact.

We encourage you to participate in a variety of art engagement for all ages and stages including music, visual arts, performing arts, and community projects. The EAC is an appointed, volunteer-run, non-profit sector of the government body of the Borough of Emmaus. We follow and respect the guidelines and regulations set forth by the governing body of the Borough manager and the Borough Council, w

e recognize and adhere to the set code of conduct. EAC’s mission and primary role is to foster the arts and culture in and around Emmaus, PA. The EAC offers events, programs, and scholarships as well as advocates for a variety of art forms in our area. Currently, focused on beautification programs throughout Emmaus, the EAC is painting hydrants, planning murals, and encouraging our community to approach art in all aspects of life. We are focused on raising awareness and visibility of the arts in and around the greater Emmaus Borough area. We encourage you to participate in a variety of art engagement experiences for all ages and stages including music, visual arts, performing arts, film/video, and specialty community beautification projects. Tonight at 6:30pm!! Thursday, May 21 at Emmaus High School come out and celebrate the amazing work of the EHS Art Department. The Spring Art Show is always an amazing display of talent and creativity. We will be awarding the AP Senior Art Portfolio "Best in Show" along with a $500 scholarship to one lucky graduating artist.

All donations, sponsorships, and partnerships with the Emmaus Arts Commission go directly back into our local art community in visual arts, performing arts, digital media/film/video, events, free art programming, and beautification initiatives. Our mural at Buss Paints is really coming along! Thanks to the many volunteers, our collaborating artist—Melissa Way, and our Emmaus Arts Commission members and Chair, Hattie Freye, who came together to add to our community. Big thanks to David's Italian Market and Emmaus Run Inn for sponsoring lunch for our volunteers on Tuesday and Wednesday. Don't forget to cool down at Hank's Italian Ice! Murals!!! Murals everywhere. Emmaus is really starting to shine with all this public art!

We are finalizing our mural on Short Road on the side of Buss Paints. This mural was part of a main street improvement grant via Emmaus Main Street Partners. Thank you to our EAC member, Hattie Freye and our participating mural artist, Melissa Way. Thank you to all of the local volunteers who braved the heat to complete this historical depiction of Emmaus. Thank you to David's Italian Market and the Emmaus Run Inn for providing our volunteers with lunch on Tuesday and Wednesday! Thank you to Hank's Italian Ice for the cool treats on Tuesday. Thank you to The Knauss Homestead members for bringing fruit and drinks on Wednesday.

If you are interested in participating please look into our upcoming events. We will be painting the snack bar and pump house at the Emmaus Community Pool this weekend and upcoming dates.

Looking to make a difference in your local community? Join the Emmaus Arts Commission. Don't have time to fully commit to the commission? You can still join one of our committees as a volunteer. To join the commission visit the Borough website and fill out a "Borough of Emmaus Board and Commission Volunteer Application". Deliver it in person to the Borough office. Something new is coming to town! Check out our progress by Short Road on the Buss Paint building. Painting started today, Sunday, May 17 with the Emmaus Farmers' Market section of the mural. Community members were encouraged to stop in and add some color after shopping with our local producers at the Farmers Market. We will continue to paint on Monday, May 18 and Tuesday, May 19. Thank you to our dedicated volunteers and community members who are making this possible including Emmaus Main Street Partners and our artist, Melissa Way.

Thank you to all of the participants and supporters of the 21st Annual Student Film Festival! We will post our sponsors, partners, collaborators, and supporters later next week. We will be taking a short break to rest after such a big event. Congratulations to all the winning teams! What a wonderful job! We are so proud of all of the students who participated in the film festival this year. Thank you everyone!
