🌿🌸 Dinner, Fun & a Little Garden Rivalry! 🌸🌿

Our annual club dinner was blooming with fun! We had a great crowd, yummy food, lively conversations and plenty of laughs—but the real competition came when Garden Trivia began! 🌱🏆

Four rounds. State flowers. Garden tools. Gardening facts. And a whole lot of “I KNOW THIS!” followed by, “Wait…maybe I don’t.” 😂

Our members put their garden knowledge to the test, with some answers coming as quickly as a weed—and others taking a little more…cultivation. 🌱😉

It was the perfect evening of good food, great fun and some friendly garden rivalry! What a fun way to celebrate our club and the people who make it grow! 🌷

We met some amazing creatures at our August club meeting! Sharon Patterson of Incredible Bats introduced us to an unforgettable lineup of animal ambassadors, including bats, a toad, a frog, a tarantula, a snake, a giant checkered rabbit, an adorable fennec fox, a roly-poly armadillo, and many more. It was a wild adventure that had everyone smiling!

We love giving back to our community. Today, we are proud to have shared our love for gardening and our knowledge with the Senior Center at York Township. The group did winter sowing and planted seedlings over the last few months. Today, we helped them plant those seedlings in the donated raised beds. Can’t wait to see their harvest!

Today, we installed three raised beds at the York Township Building. Members of their Senior Program have been nurturing vegetable seedlings. We can’t wait to help them plant on May 29. The harvest will be used in the Senior Hot Meal program. Everyone wins!

Another fantastic plant sale is in the books. Thanks to everyone who came out and bought beautiful plants. Thanks to our high school volunteers and to the Elmhurst Park District. And of course, thank you to our club members who spent so many hours working to name this event happen. See you next year!
