On Sunday September 7, 2026 the Willow Grove Fire Company NJ was dispatched to Alvine Road for a vehicle fire. As crews were responding, we were informed the vehicle involved was a lawnmower. Upon arrival crews suppressed the remnants of the lawn mower and returned to service within 30 minutes.

On Sunday September 6, 2026 at 20:17 Hours the Willow Grove Fire Company NJ along with the Monroeville Fire Company, Event Medical Staffing Solutions and Inspira EMS & Ground Transport Medic-2 were dispatched to the intersection of Route 40 and Harding Highway for a motor vehicle crash with possible entrapment. Upon arrival, there was a multi-vehicle crash with no entrapment. Once the debris was removed from the roadway, the fire units were released from the scene. The EMSS units transported the injured to a local medical facility.

As we begin a new month, September brings a familiar shift in routines: The end of the summer season and students returning to their educational facilities. As we look nationally and globally, the seasonal transition looks entirely different. Across the world we watch in horror as flooding rain storms, earth slides, and severe storms affect people in numerous ways. We are fortunate in Pittsgrove Township as we are not subject most of those severe weather issues often but we can not allow our guard to be down. We need to strive to keep our guard up and observe that: September is National Preparedness Month.


This years theme for National Preparedness Month is “Americans Stand Ready,” emphasizing self-reliance, unity, and resourcefulness to protect loved ones and support first responders.

At the consumer level, preparedness has shifted from frantic, last-minute grocery runs to automated, seamless household management.
•Smart pantries can track expiration dates and auto-order essential provisions based on family size and dietary needs.
•Home energy managers sync with the local grid, pre-cooling homes or charging backup batteries during off-peak hours when solar and wind inputs are highest. (Please ensure your batteries are not after-market manufactured ones especially with lithium ion batteries to power radios and tools.)

The Willow Grove Fire Company NJ was dispatched to Porchtown Road for a report of a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, a passenger vehicle was found to be fully involved and learned it was an electric vehicle. Crews went into service to extinguish the fire then the scene was turned over to the New Jersey State Police. The scene was cleared within the hour.

On Monday August 17, 2026 the firefighters of the Willow Grove Fire Company spent the evening training on several topics. We discussed apparatus placement, motor vehicle fires, hose stretches, water supply and highway traffic safety.
