Looking for someone with a snowplow in Absecon Area. Our Veterans Village facility is in disparate need of have our entrance and exit opened. Due to the large amount of snow our equipment is not able to clear the it. Please PM or text me at 609-501-1179

It is with great sorrow and a broken heart that I announce the passing of one of Veterans 101 Board Members Jack (John) Eckert. God gained a perfect Angel. RIP my dear brother you will be missed. “RIGHT OR WRONG”

A vacant motel in Absecon is coming back to life with the help of some volunteers. The organization has spent the past year transforming the space for veterans experiencing homelessness or in need of housing.

I just wanted to give an update on our progress. Veterans Village of Absecon is moving onto phase 2 of our project. We currently have 14 of our 26 Unit completed and have provided 14 Veterans with a safe and secure Home. The remaining 12 Units are getting their finally touches and inspections and should be ready to house Veterans in the next 30 days.

As we enter phase 2, the exterior renovation, the reality of this project is coming true. We want to Thank Everyone that has contributed to our project, we have had funding donations, supportive service and awesome Volunteers.

For this phase we would once again to reach out to our Community for Volunteers. This phase will include installing a New A Frame Roof on each building, installing new windows and doors, painting the exterior, asphalting and concrete repairs. IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER please reach out to me, let’s complete this project as a community and show how powerful Community Support can be, Together we can accomplish anything.

Note: Previous post have implied that we are funded by Government Grants. I want to insure everyone that as of this date WE have not received and Government Grants. Funding has been provided by financial donations, loans and fundraising. 100% of all proceeds are dedicated to Veterans Village Project. Veterans 101 is the nonprofit with 501(c)(3) status that is overseeing this project. Veterans 101 is ran by all Volunteers so No employees. If you wish to make a donation please reach out we have several options available.

As June 1, 2023 is approaching we are putting our final pleas out to support our fundraiser. Tickets are still available for Clam Bake or Alternative Menu Items-cost is: $45 Adult/25 Child

Our final count needs to be provided to caterers by Monday 12 noon. So please PM, Call or Text.

Crafters- We still have a few spots left if you wish to participate 10x10 spot $35, Vendors provide their own setup.

Due to circumstances beyond our control we have had to make a tough decision to reschedule our Clam Bake. The new Date will be June 1, 2024. To those that purchased tickets and will not be able to attend a full refund will be given. But, good news is those that could not attend original date will hopefully be available for this date. Our Clam Bake Fundraiser is approaching quickly, May 25, 2024. We are putting a special plea out requesting your support. Do to the over whelming responses we have had, since our news release from CBC News, we have to step up our renovations to accommodate Veterans that are waiting to come to Veterans Village. In order to complete the renovations on the remaining 14 rooms we need to replace the roof then complete renovations. We are on a mission to raise $350,000 to complete this portion of renovation. So please support our mission, purchase ticket(s) to our fundraiser, unable to attend the fundraiser please make a donation, sponsor a Veteran so they can attend, become a partner and support Veterans 101. We are challenging all my family and friends. If everyone would give a little no one has to give a lot and we as a community can say we all came together and provided permanent housing to Our Homeless/At Risk Veterans

We are still looking for Vendors also, so please step up and help us make this fundraiser a success and meet our goal of $350,000 to provide housing to 14 Veterans.

We also welcome fundraising ideas, Businesses that would like to partner or sponsor us and all Veterans Affiliated Organizations to join forces with us to complete this project.
