🍀 Looking for a fun Saturday morning activity? Come Find Your Spark at 4-H Project Discovery Day! 🍀

Thinking about 4-H or wondering what it’s all about? You do NOT need to be a 4-H member to attend! Youth from Pierce and St. Croix counties are invited to explore hands-on learning, try something new, and discover what sparks their interest!

Join us on Saturday, October 24, at the Seyforth Building on the Pierce County Fairgrounds in Ellsworth. Youth will participate in four interactive sessions of their choice!

🌱 Plant Cloning 101: Houseplant Propagation
⚡ Principles of Electricity & Currents
🎨 Crafting & Hands-On Art

A little fall weather, a countywide adventure, and LOTS of creativity! 🍀

We had a great time traveling around Pierce County today to check out our 4-H clubs’ National 4-H Week displays! From storefront windows to creative displays around town, our clubs showed off their 4-H pride in so many fun ways.

WI 4-H Horse and Leadership Conference Information

Date: Saturday, November 14, 2026

Location: UW River Falls Campus and Lab Farm

Cost: $75.00 per person (includes lunch, dinner, and break on Saturday, light breakfast items Sunday morning before the meeting); please note, that beyond the conference cost there will be additional parking costs at the University – typically around $8.00 per day.

Registration Deadline: October 28th; space is limited - we encourage you to register early. If all spaces for the conference are full, the conference registration may close before the deadline. Registration is through 4-H Online: wi.4honline.com

October 30th is the last day to withdraw from this conference. Any registration withdrawal after this date will be responsible for payment regardless of attendance.

Who is this experience open to? Current 4-H Members 7th grade and older and 4-H volunteers. All youth members need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian or chaperone. Youth registration will not be accepted without an adult listed as attending with them.

Lodging is on your own. There is not a room block for the conference as people noted they were able to secure better room rates in the past than our block rate. A list of local hotels is available at the conference website.

Chaperones: If you are acting in a chaperone capacity, you will need to work with your local county educator to ensure you have all training and health coordinator required needs in place for that role.

WI State 4-H Dog Learning Days – October 24th and 25th

When: Saturday, October 24th (Agility) and October 25th (Rally)
Time: 9AM – 2PM

Space is limited: There are 40 spots available for this event, each day. There is a 1 dog maximum per handler. All youth members need to be current 4-H members and accompanied by a parent/guardian or chaperone. Youth registration will not be accepted without an adult listed as attending with them. 4-H Dog Project Policies will be followed at this event.

Vaccination requirements: All WI 4-H Dog Project Vaccination Policies will be followed for this event. A copy of the vaccination records needs to be added with your online registration for your registration to be complete. Registration will not be accepted without submitted vaccination records.

Who should attend: All participants must be currently enrolled WI 4-H Dog Project Youth Members – 3rd grade and older. This camp is ideal for all 4-H dog project junior handlers seeking to refine their skills, whether preparing for competition or simply strengthening their partnership with their dog. All experience levels are welcome—activities tailored to individual skill sets and training goals.

Cost: $10.00 per youth/dog team per day. It is $20 dollar for both events.
You will be able to pay at the event registration table. If you do not show-up for the event, and you have not withdrawn before the registration withdrawal deadline, you will be invoiced for your payment.

Registration deadline: October 16th or when the event is filled to capacity, whatever happens first. October 21st is the last day to withdraw from this event. Any registration withdrawal after this date will be responsible for payment regardless of attendance.

Ambassadors get unique opportunities to represent Wisconsin 4-H, develop leadership skills, and contribute to statewide programming. Apply to join the Arts, Leadership, Agriculture, or NEW Outdoor Ambassadors depending on what inspires you most. Youth must be in grades 9-12 to apply!

🍀 The Hall of Fame recognizes 4-H volunteers, financial supporters, staff, and pioneers who made major contributions to the 4-H movement at the local, state, and national levels.

Last Saturday was a great day at the 2026 State Dog Show in Antigo!

Eight talented Pierce County 4-H handlers traveled to Langlade County for the state show. It was the first state show for three of our handlers and the final state show for two of our super seniors.

All eight did a great job at the competition, but our Novice Team really stood out! Their teamwork, practice and professionalism caught the attention of everyone watching. Be sure to check out the YouTube link to see them in action!
