What incredible birds! Raptor Rendezvous did not disappoint!! Thank you U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Carters Lake , FIND Outdoors and Georgia Mountain Falconry for sharing this experience with us today! My biggest takeaway is that a Red Tail Hawk’s tail doesn’t turn red until it’s 2 years old. Now we know. 😉 I’ll try and name the bird in the comments below each bird. 🦉

We are so excited for November! So many ways to enjoy and learn more about our beautiful mountains, test our creativity, thank our veterans 🇺🇸 and have a private meeting with another one of our local multi generational farming families ALL while making new friends!! 😊 Perfect! 💜

The Georgia Apple Festival is canceled on Saturday due to weather conditions but open on Sunday. Stay Active Ellijay has decided to also cancel their festival activity planned for Saturday morning at the Cherry Log Festival. Stay safe out there everyone! 

🌧️WEATHER UPDATE: SATURDAY’S (10/10) FESTIVAL CANCELED🌧️

After carefully monitoring the changing forecast and reviewing the latest guidance from the National Weather Service, we’ve made the difficult decision to cancel Saturday’s (October 10) Georgia Apple Festival.

The safety of our vendors, staff, and visitors is always our top priority, and we appreciate your understanding as we make this decision.

The good news: We intend to move forward with Sunday’s festival as planned! We will continue monitoring the weather and share updates as needed. 🍎
