The Bethesda Medical Clinic will be in Ellijay this Wednesday, 19 Aug. If you or someone you know needs primary care but doesn't have it, please come to the clinic. You may have an underlying chronic condition that you are not even aware of.

Georgia Family Connection Partnership (GaFCP) has released an updated list of Georgia KIDS COUNT indicators, expanding the statewide measures of child and family well-being from 52 to 54 indicators. Georgia KIDS COUNT indicators and county-level trend data are available through GaFCP’s online data tools. Gilmer County Schools is proud to celebrate a major achievement in student attendance!

During the 2025-2026 school year, our district reduced chronic absenteeism from 22.3% to 14.3%, outperforming the state average, and making significant progress in helping students be present, engaged, and successful in school.

This remarkable accomplishment reflects the dedication of our entire school community. Thank you to our students for showing up each day ready to learn, our parents and families for making attendance a priority, our teachers for creating engaging and welcoming classrooms, our support staff for providing encouragement and resources, and our administrators for leading with purpose and helping create positive school environments.

As we begin the new school year, we remain committed to strengthening our attendance initiatives and building a culture where every student has the opportunity to succeed—every day!
