Come to Blue Ridge today for the Trout & Outdoor Adventures Festival: SGH has a booth at this great festival to provide information about the hemlock problem, why it's so important to take timely action, what property owners can do to save their own trees, and how volunteers can help save trees on our public lands. Healthy hemlock saplings are available for adoption.

Looking forward to sharing the hemlock story on Saturday.

Looking forward to sharing the hemlock story on Saturday.

We’re excited to welcome the Save Georgia's Hemlocks, Inc. to Scout Show!

Stop by their booth to learn about protecting one of Georgia’s most important native trees:
• Discover the role of hemlock trees in our mountain ecosystems
• Learn about the threats facing hemlocks—and how they’re being saved
• Hands-on activities and educational resources for Scouts
• Ways to get involved in conservation and stewardship efforts

It’s a great opportunity for Scouts to connect with nature, conservation, and real-world impact right here in Georgia’s forests. 🌲

THE FUTURE OF OUR FORESTS DEPENDS ON YOU.

Tens of thousands of acres of hemlocks throughout the southern Appalachians are being threatened by the invasive insect Hemlock Woolly Adelgid. Since 2009, Save Georgia's Hemlocks has been committed in the battle to save our hemlocks, preserve property values, protect local economies, and guard the health and natural beauty of our mountain communities.
WE NEED YOUR HELP to continue this important work - treating trees in the national forests and state parks, helping property owners save their own trees, rescuing and potting saplings to offer them for adoption, planting trees along trout streams to restore the shade canopy, and treating trees along some of our favorite hiking trails and rivers. So in observance of Arbor Day, we encourage you to make a donation now.
