It is with great sadness that I announce we are closing Mercy’s Door Children’s Homes after 16 years of serving foster children in North Georgia.
It has become very difficult to find employees through the COVID-19 pandemic. Another major reason we have decided to close is because the changes between federal and state regulations would cause us to have to take a higher level child with severe trauma and behaviors which is beyond what we are equipped to handle.
In the beginning we set out to have a family home atmosphere for the children and to continue would change the vision of why we started the homes in the first place.
We just wanted to make an official announcement to all of our supporters and let you know we appreciate all the support the community has given the children over the past 16 years. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Re-Vintage Vogue will remain open as The Carl Malone Foundation is working on another program that will help at risk children through the proceeds of our stores. More info to come.

Give the House parents time off. Help cook, hang with the kids, examples are do crafts, play basketball,etc. If just volunteering as mentor 1-3 hours a week. If wanting a job to give parents time off you would work every Wednesday and every other weekend.

Just wanted to give a big shout out to our community for loving on our girls this Valentines Day! Makayla Daniels, Angie Maya, Kylee Malone, Lan at the nail place, and Ms Sherry. They were given total makeovers with hair, nails and facials ending in a great night of Valentine Banquet fun! Y’all are amazing!

Many people avoid adoption because they think it costs too much. While adoption from private agencies can be extremely expensive, adopting from Georgia DFCS is free (other than nominal costs that can often be reimbursed).

You all have done so much to help us get one of our girls into her first apartment! You gave gift cards, a mattress, a new Keurig and K-cup stand, home decorations, and so much more. We couldn't be more grateful!
