A place where she can find understanding without having to explain. Where another mom understands the pride, the worry, the missed holidays, the deployments, the phone calls, and all the emotions that come with loving someone who serves.

That is the heart of Blue Star Mothers of America.

Every one of us has an opportunity to reach another military mom. Introduce yourself. Tell her about Blue Star Mothers. Invite her to a meeting. Share our organization with someone who may need the connection and sisterhood we provide.

Today, as we celebrate Independence Day and America's 250th Anniversary, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering spirit of those who have defended our nation's freedom throughout the past 250 years.

Freedom has never come without sacrifice. It has been preserved by generations of brave service members, supported by resilient military families, and carried forward by veterans whose legacy continues to inspire us.

At Blue Star Mothers of America, we are proud to stand beside our troops, veterans, military families, and the families of our Fallen Heroes. Their dedication reminds us that the blessings of liberty are made possible by those willing to serve something greater than themselves.

As fireworks light the sky tonight, may they remind us of the enduring spirit of America and the men and women who have answered the call to protect it.
