Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department and Ellicott City Volunteer Fire Department volunteer members currently taking Fire 1 had the opportunity to train last night alongside experienced volunteer members from the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department.

The recruits practiced donning their PPE and SCBA in under two minutes before tackling a mock maze designed to help prepare them for the hands-on requirements of their Fire 1 class.

Great training, teamwork, and preparation as these new volunteers continue building the skills needed to serve their communities.

Busy month of September at EVFD!

Please join us in congratulating Cecilia Bellagamba on her accomplishment of becoming a cleared aide!

Cecilia joined the department in 2024 and has worked diligently to complete classes, training, and operational requirements to become cleared in both Fire and EMS. In addition to her operational commitment, Cecilia is also heavily involved in EVFD fundraising efforts and continues to give back to our department and community.

We are proud of Cecilia’s hard work and dedication and look forward to seeing her continue to grow and advance within the Elkridge Volunteer Fire Department.
