🤝 Building Bridges Through Community Partnership

The Howard County Muslim Council was honored to once again meet with the newest graduating class of Howard County Police Department officers.

This collaboration provides an opportunity to introduce our community, share the values and diversity of Howard County’s Muslim population, and discuss the expectations of the Muslim community while fostering trust, understanding, and meaningful dialogue from the very beginning of these officers’ careers.

Representing the Howard County Muslim Council were Nooreen Zaidi, President; Zunaira Awan, Vice President; and Sheikh Walid, Imam of Dar Al-Taqwa (DAT). Together, they shared perspectives, answered questions, and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration between law enforcement and the communities they serve.

We sincerely appreciate the Howard County Police Department’s commitment to community engagement and look forward to strengthening this partnership for years to come.

Congratulations to the graduating officers! We wish you a safe, successful, and rewarding career as you begin serving the residents of Howard County.

Partnerships like these are essential to strengthening our community, fostering trust, and creating meaningful opportunities for collaboration and service.

We are incredibly thankful for this partnership and look forward to connecting with HCPD on future projects and initiatives that continue to bring our community together.

Representing the leadership of Howard County Muslim Council were President Nooreen Zaidi, Vice President Zunaira Awan, and Board of Director Zeehamat Samuel.
